I'm glad someone finally said it. -_- I looked up clips of the prospect and he is kind of insanely athletic, wish the Pistons could take him ~-~

I think it's not a foul because Kobe had already started his fake left-turn right move before Nelson got there, and Nelson ran into Kobe's "space". For a taller player, Kobe would've just hit them in them in the chest or shoulder area, and there'd definitely be no talk about it being an offensive foul. The fact that Nelson is short (for an NBA player) and, as a result, got clipped on the chin should not be relevant. Kobe didn't swing his arms/elbows any differently than any player is allowed to when they're trapped and swarmed by multiple defenders.

nelson had a good chance of striping the ball from bryant if he used his hands instead of his face

This was from taken from the end of Houston game, Who is this guy? He is always on the sidelines near where Larry David (in the background) sits sometimes. He always tries to give props to Kobe and this time he bear hugged him, Kobe's reaction is priceless. DVR FTW!

It's Nelson's fault for running right into Kobe as he's moving around trying to make space. Up till the last line I can follow. But that last line, are u serious? What, so the offensive player can do anything as long as he was trying to be legit about it? A foul is a foul is a foul. Doesn't matter if he "meant" to do it. The fact is kobe hit him in the jaw with his elbow. That's a foul. There's no way around it. The real question is how bad is the foul. Yea considering the situation he was in it probably shouldn't be flagrant or anything like that, but honestly that should have been called, and the 3 shouldn't have counted.
