Vote for your favorite Beta Key Guide from the first week of competition!
Vote only once please! I can't fit all the options in 1 poll, and I think doing a segmented vote would be a waste of time.

The Stove, got a clear idea of what it was.

the stove cause it promotes the most homo a protoss can get in its starcraft life and uses the most gay units in the game.

Uhhh... Trolling, in the second poll??
BTW to all the writers, even if you don't get any votes don't be down, you invested a lot of work into your guides and that is admirable n_n

Why are the two ineligible to win again?

Should be mentioned that it doesn't matter how many votes these topics get in this thread... not like this is going to determine who gets the beta keys.
If the Introduction to SC modding guide doesn't get a key then there's something strange going on. That guy put shit loads of effort into that guide.

Hm, people are getting this confused with the Blizzcon Contest, there are no join-date restrictions on the Cake or Guide contests. The Ironman currently has a "Must register before June 1st" restriction but it's up in the air as to whether we'll keep that or not (since the dates have been pushed back).
If, against all odds, there is a part of the newspost that says otherwise please copy paste it so I can find it and remove it, I've looked but I found only 1 or 2 instances of the word "may" used.

It was a great guide and it was a lot of effort but so were other guides; they can't judge just by effort alone (I think).

If the Introduction to SC modding guide doesn't get a key then there's something strange going on. That guy put shit loads of effort into that guide. Hmm, I disagree. Effort isn't the only thing that matters. Of course just to get any attention the guide has to be of some good quality, but you can't ignore that these guides are being written for an audience. Most of this website doesn't care about making mods (even if they play them), and wouldn't spend their time on it. If they do, they already go to StarEdit.net which has a very nice modding community.
A guide will be rated on it's usefulness as well, I suspect. The more people on TL it actually helps, the better a contribution it will be considered. Which means it has to both appeal to TLers, and it also has to be hard to find a better guide (on the same subject) elsewhere. So if Day9 were cruel enough to enter this contest, he would auto-win because he is making audio help for people who enjoy playing StarCraft in melee mode (everyone) and he is also incredibly talented and his SC knowledge reliable. For something like intelligent investing... That's really well written, but how many people on TL really play the stocks? It's heart breaking not to give it to him, since it obviously took a really long time but... IMO it's a poorly chosen subject.
That said, any and all guides that people put time into and post on TL are definitely appreciated. Even if it's a small portion of our community, it's like TL Manpower. Always good to know there's something there if you want it.

Trolling guide made me laugh really hard, so it gets my vote. But some other guides were probably more useful and very well written as well. Only one vote unfortunately ..

It's unfortunate teamliquid has a boner for trolling/saying shit is a troll.
