Anyone has any idea what this 'parking' is, and is it even legal? Because it seems more like somebody hijacked the website. Also, is there any way to get around it?

But just wondering, if the domain owner decides to renew his domain, then would this automatically disappear?

No, just jump on the bandwagon and blame all of your problems on "the economy" despite the fact that a) they preexisted the recession and b) you haven't actually felt any effects of the downturn yet. Yeah, I can't believe "the economy" foreclosed my house that I could never afford in the first place, ran up my credit card debt with stupid shit I didn't need, and wasted all of my savings on a new ski-doo for the summer vacation I should have spent looking for a job. Edit, seriousness: yes I know the recession is real and it has real consequences for many people, but doesn't anyone else feel like people are just bandying about "the economy" as an excuse for anything? Yesterday my boss used it to get rid of a salesman since we'd already bought her product from a competing company. Why not just explain that?? Why "the economy"?

Although this might really hurt people who are indeed truly suffering because of the economy, but yes what JWD said, they really shouldn't blame everything on the economy. But that itself deserves another thread for discussion

other than that, what was the question, oh - going to your frequent sites gets redirected to this 'goDaddy site'. if you get a lot of redirects, it could be a virus, or it could be antivirus settings. if you have a banner blocker or ad blocker in your antivirus, sometimes that redirects your site loads. so check that. other than that, don't know.

It was left for some other waitress, not my ex. I was pissed about it, not being even remotely effected by it, because that's such an incredible level of jackassery.
