Warcraft 2 Festival IV will be taking place again at the end of July this year. Our goal every year is to bring on as many past and present Warcraft 2 players as we can for one weekend and to have some fun tournaments. This year the cash prize for the GOW TE 1vs1 Tournament will be $400 , anyone who would like to help cover the cost of the prize can send large or small donations to dwaxe1@yahoo.com at Paypal
This year as a extra bonus I am also going to add a extra $100 to be given out as a special drawing to everyone who competes in the tournament and finishes all of their rounds.
Tournament dates:
Saturday July 25th 2vs2 Tournament at 4PM Est Time (Maps will be decided by the players who sign up here with GOW finals)
Sunday July 26th 1vs1 GOW TE $$$ Tournament at 4PM Est Time
Rules for Cash Tournament :
1. Warvideo will be required , if asked for Warvideo and you can not provide it you will be disqualified. If you need to download Warvideo we have it available at http://server.war2.ru
2. Being away from the computer for more then 15 minutes while your opponent is waiting on you will result in disqualification (Players must inform me to put the timer on said player)

those graphics are sick, if some rts developer made a game with the same style graphics (but obviously much higher res) it would be so cool.

war2 is twice as fast as SC... no rally points. gotta be really fast to play that game.. damn

This is the most amazng news I've heard in awhile.... War2 was what started it all off for me... I loved playing garden of war on Kali back in the day!! I will definately be playing in this one!

Yeah our server started out in 2006 and we have been taking small baby steps ever since then towards growing. We are pulling better numbers today then before, and I believe Warcraft 2 will only continue to grow as time goes by and more people become aware of the server.
I have also been keeping a nice list of contact information from players who have been on our server over the years which makes it easy to get ahold of people when big tournaments like these happen. I plan on setting new records this year for the server come time for War2 Festival IV.

Also I would just like to add that this is definatly my favorite place to post Warcraft 2 news on. Everytime I come here someone is always coming out and saying how surprised they are to find out War2 is still being played.
I can only imagine how many people would find out about our War2 Server if the guys here in charge could get us a little banner underneath that ICCUP one .. haha maybe someone needs to start a petition for us.

I downloaded it and now when I try to log onto battlenet through broodwar all the gateways are War2 gateways..I can still log on west and east etc but it totally eliminated iccup. I uninstalled it and still can't =/

I have been wanting to play this game for a long time now. It has been many years since I last played. This was the game that got me into the RTS genre. I will definitely be downloading this.

I also started off playing WC2 as my first RTS game. I remember being so excited when SC first came out. Haven't ever played WC2 since... but I remember so many good times playing friends.

Good news leading up to the festival we have been having new record numbers of players online. We are now going into 100+ users online at a time playing Warcraft 2 at a time. So keep on coming
