(30 Question 30 Answer) - Through hard work he makes miracles - Miracle Boy Leta
Estro’s Magma chose ‘Miracle Boy’ Leta (OGN) as the star of this 30 question 30 answer questionnaire.
Recently he dropped out of both individual leagues. Leta says just as he practiced hard to get where he is now, in the future to get even higher he will never slack off.
- Please do an introduction for yourself – what kind of person are you?
▲ Hello. I am 21 year old Leta who has the nickname ‘Miracle Boy’.
- Why did you choose to become a progamer?
▲ I’m originally from Pusan… I was at the Hanbit Proleague SK Telecom finals and was deeply moved, and from then I took the road of a gamer.
- What’s the most lasting memory you have after becoming a progamer?
▲ Last year in January we went to TaeAn (there was a huge oil spill in the ocean there and LOADS of people came to help, including celebrities) to offer at least another hand of help – I think going there with many other progamers was my most lasting memory. I also have hopes that there will be more community service projects like that~ hehe.
- Up until now, which match was the most memorable?
▲ The most memorable match was right before the proleague finals, when we had a match with Lecaf. The fact that I was able to help my team get to the playoffs made me incredibly happy and I think after that I was able to grow more as well.
- When was the hardest moment for you after becoming a progamer?
▲ When I wasn’t known yet, it was the hardest for me. Back then, whenever I went out I would lose and lose and lose again… so I would often get frustrated and discouraged and wonder if I could actually make it. But I thought at least for my parents and the people I knew I should practice harder to reach higher levels, so I grit my teeth and worked extremely hard and though I still lack in many areas, I think it was because of that I was able to get here today.
- You’re currently considered OGN’s ace – how do you feel about that?
▲ I still lack a lot in so many ways but having the title ace makes me feel I have a lot more to be responsible for and want to work harder so that I can become the best ace.
- When you had to play in the proleague and the individual leagues at the same time, wasn’t it difficult?
▲ I actually don’t have great stamina… maybe that’s why, but it was harder than I thought T_T. If I practiced as fixedly as Flash I think I might even pass out ~ haha.
- You have the nickname ‘Miracle Boy’ – do you like it?
▲ Yes, I like it. Our team is Miracle Sparkyz so I feel even more attached to the nickname – I’m very thankful for this nickname.
- You’re known as the good-natured progamer – what do you think is the reason for that?
▲ Hm… I’m just thankful that I’m called that hehe.
- Among players today, it seems you have outstanding dropship play – what are dropships to you?
▲ I would say dropships for me are a unit that helped me get to this spot today?
- What’s a strength of OGN / What’s something the team can work on to grow?
▲ Family like atmosphere and a definite clear system / If protoss can complement the team more, I think we can grow more as a team.
- How do you mainly spend your free time?
▲ I mainly read or sleep hehe.
- Thus far, who has influenced you most in your life?
▲ I think I’ve been influenced most by my parents. Even when I first became a progamer they continually encouraged me and gave me strength – I believe this is why even during difficult times I was able to gain the strength to practice hard.
- Who was your most memorable fan?
▲ From when I debuted and whether I lost or won, the fans who continually cheered for me come to mind and I’m so grateful – I’m always thankful to them.
- This was Magma’s question for you: As soon as the MSL group selection ended, you came to me and said you were joking and that you wanted to get closer to me – when will that happen? And lately you’ve been playing so well; what do you do to hone your skills so much?
▲ I also want to get closer to him but we just never have the chance T_T. Magma hyung I want to get closer to you~ hehe. (Lol he completely ignores the second half of that question)
- Pick the next player to be chosen for this questionnaire and ask a question.
▲ To Samsung Khan’s Jangbi: Lately you’ve been doing so well… before a match what kind of mindset do you have~?
- Is there advice you can give to those who are aspiring to become progamers?
▲ Being a progamer seems cool and like it’ll always be fun but if you don’t work really hard it’s hard to be successful and it’s really difficult and tiring… and even when you practice a lot it’s a job where it’s hard to get to higher levels. Be firm and resolute when making this challenging choice! Hwaiting!
- Words for your fans?
▲ Thank you so much for sticking by me whenever times got hard or I got discouraged. Please continue loving me in the future~
▶Fans are curious about these!
- There’s a lot of dispute going on about your skills – usually during practice, when you play other team aces, how are your win/loss stats?
▲ I usually don’t practice with other team aces so I don’t really know.
- You’ve been in a slight slump recently – do you think there’s a particular reason?
▲ I just think if there are times you win, there are also times you lose. I don’t really know if there’s a particular reason.
- There were disputes about you being the next bonjwa – what do you think about that?
▲ I think I still have a long way to go. I want to work harder so that the term bonjwa can be fitting one day.
- Your control is good – is there a secret behind it?
▲ When controlling, I concentrate very hard. I think that’s why it’s good.
- You’ve been spoken of highly by other progamers – what’s your secret to these good relationships?
▲ Usually I just like being friendly so I think that’s why I’ve been thought of in that way.
During the MSL group selection you had a great performance – did you practice separately for that and do you plan on showing more in the future?
▲ Concerning the performance itself I asked our team coach JunTaeGyu for advice and learned a lot. In the future if there is another opportunity to show a performance I want to continue doing it.
- What is your ideal girl like?
▲ I feel like my ideal girl changes often so I’m not sure hehe.
- What do you think is something you need to work on the most to increase your skills?
▲ I think I will have to increase my stamina so that I can practice more.
- Is there a player you consider your rival?
▲ I still lack a lot but I want to become rivals with Flash. I want to work hard and create a rivalry like the one that existed between Nada and iloveoov.
-Do you remember the game where you lost to (real) Yellow on Sin Peaks of Baekdu?
▲ Yes. I remember ^^… Those are painful memories haha.
- Is there a particular player you would want to face in an individual league final?
▲ There isn’t a specific player I would want to play. If it were to be a player I verse in the finals, I think no matter who it is it would be a fun match.
- Is there a progamer you particularly respect?
▲ Nada. He’s always so consistent and he’s been an idol since he was an amateur player.
- As a progamer, what’s the highest goal you want to reach?
▲ For now, it’s a star league victory. If I get that victory, then I will switch my goal to be called bonjwa so that I will work even harder.

(30 Question 30 Answer) - Versatile, Powerful Player - Almighty Jangbi
I'll become an even better performing Jangbi~
I'll become an even better performing Jangbi~
‘Miracle Boy’ Leta (OGN) chose ‘Almighty’ Jangbi to be the star of this 30 question 30 answer questionnaire.
As a versatile almighty protoss player, Jangbi is currently challenging the stronghold held between the head of the dragons Bisu (SKT1) and Stork (Samsung Khan). This 30 question 30 answer questionnaire will reveal more sides to Jangbi than we’ve normally seen.
Please do an introduction for yourself – what kind of person are you?
▲ I am a man from Pusan hello~~ hehe. I am a protoss player on Samsung Khan. This is Jangbi~~~!
Why did you choose to become a progamer?
▲ I was watching TV and by chance stumbled upon the gaming channel and it looked really fun. After that I started playing starcraft and it was really fun… I began to participate in tournaments. I believe that’s how I chose the dream of becoming a progamer.
What’s the most lasting memory you have after becoming a progamer?
▲ Rather than a lasting memory I think I just have a lot of people I’m thankful to haha.
Up until now, which match was the most memorable?
▲ I’ll have to say it was the 1 set match with KTF against Flash. I remember it being that if we won, we would have a straight road to the finals whereas KTF needed to win if they wanted to make it to the playoffs… it was a really important match and it resulted in a draw and we had to have a rematch, so I think that’s why it left the biggest impression on me~ haha.
When was the hardest moment for you after becoming a progamer?
▲ The hardest moment you all probably know already haha… in 2007 I kept losing in the proleague T_T [this was when he had his 8 game losing streak]. It was so hard I even thought of quitting gaming altogether but Stork hyung kept encouraging me and I believe that is a large part of why I’m still here today!
When you first debuted in the proleague you obtained the nickname “losing card”… wasn’t that difficult for you?
▲ In that period of time I just hated playing broadcasted games in general T_T. I felt like I would lose whenever I played and I really hated doing it but now I really like playing broadcasted games (laughs).
HuhNeuNeem (plays off the Korean word God which is HaNaNeem by inserting his last name Huh), Almighty – you currently have these nicknames; which nickname do you prefer?
▲ I like both hehehe. HuhNeuNeem just sounds really nice hahah. Also, I didn’t know what Almighty meant at first but after knowing the meaning I really like it a lot.
Recently you often had to play your teammates in individual leagues and you won all those games – honestly, how did you feel afterwards?
▲ Honestly I really hate having to play my teammates in individual leagues. When I win I feel really bad and if I lost I think I’d feel really bitter so I hate having to play them T_T.
People believe you’ve received a lot of influence from Stork – what do you have to say about this?
▲ Of course I did haha. Stork hyung and I have almost always sat next to each other so there’s a lot to learn from watching each other. I learned a lot mentally and received a lot of acknowledgement and consolation from him as well. He helped me a lot in those ways so I’m extremely thankful!!
What’s a big strength that Samsung Khan possesses?
▲ Hm… Our team players have a strong belief in one another. Wouldn’t that be it?
How do you mainly spend your free time?
▲ I think I mostly spend it sleeping… hehe
Thus far, who has influenced you most in your life?
▲ I’d have to say it’s my coach KimGaEul and Stork hyung!
Who was your most memorable fan?
▲ All my fans are very precious to me so the people who have been constantly supporting me remain in my memory longest hehe.
This was Leta’s question for you: Lately you’ve been doing so well… before a match what kind of mindset do you have~?
▲ Well, firstly I’m not that good haha.. Before a match I don’t think I really think much. Without thinking too much I just play the way my hands flow.
Pick the next player to be chosen for this questionnaire and ask a question.
▲ To STX’s by.hero: Lately you’ve been playing so well against protoss – what’s the secret to your strength?
Is there advice you can give to those who are aspiring to become progamers?
▲ Seriously, lately everyone works really hard so you’ll have to put in a lot of hard effort. Also, even if times get rough, don’t give up!
Words for your fans?
▲ I’ll become a Jangbi that performs even better~~! Please watch over me!
▶Fans are curious about these!
- At one point Stork said in an interview, “When Jangbi and I practice together I mostly lose” – in reality when you guys practice what are the win/loss stats like?
▲ I think Stork hyung said that to make me look better. Usually it’s around half half.
- Who do you think is the best player lately, and who do you think is your rival??
▲ I would have to say the best player is Jaedong. Jaedong is a game machine… I don’t understand how he can work so hard (laughs). It’s really quite something else. I would say my rivals are the other 5 dragons. I believe the 6 dragons are in competition with one another.
- Why do you think you lost to Bisu a 2nd time in the finals?
▲ Hm.. I think I lost because Bisu prepared harder than I did.
- How do you use storms effectively in games?
▲ With high templars use shuttles and drop them well to scatter the storms. When you storm, you have to do it quickly haha. Otherwise they’ll get caught.
- Among the less notable players on the team (like yoOn, Miracle, Chavi), who do you think should be noticed?
▲ yoOn hyung, Miracle hyung, and Chavi hyung are all good players so I believe if they show their true skills in the preliminary matches they can really grow into great players!
- What kind of style do you like in the opposite sex? Tell us about your ideal girl.
▲ I like a girl who is charming hehe.
In the past on the OnGameNet homepage, there was a comment “if I receive the computer I can play fun starcraft” – was that you?
▲ Ah. That (laughs). I can’t remember… Someone took a screenshot of that comment and uploaded it online haha. But as I kept looking at it… hm… I kept thinking to myself, “did I actually write something like that?”. But sometimes it feels like I did, and sometimes it doesn’t… T_T It’s hard to remember… T_T
- Do you have a player where you feel you must get revenge?
▲ There are a lot. The players who beat me in the finals. If I play with those players I will practice doubly hard and get revenge on them~!
- Right now you’ve been assessed as not having an obvious style of play – what do you think is the part that stands out most in your play?
▲ Because I try out various styles I don’t believe I have a single part that stands out. If I just play with one style it’s not fun (laughs). So I like to play with many different styles.
- People were surprised at the speed of your reactions – how did you train your reaction rate?
▲ You have to develop a habit of checking your mini map often. When a red mark appears I go to that screen and send a probe but there are also a lot of instances where a Kakaru animal will occasionally pop up on the mini map and I’ll get surprised and click to that screen as well.
- If the opportunity arrives, would you go out on a variety program? If you do, what kind of show program do you want to be part of?
▲ I don’t think a chance like that would arrive… but I think ‘SeuChinSo’ would be fun (laughs) [SeuChinSo is the tv show Nada participated in]. I don’t usually watch TV but Nada participated in SeuChinSo so I ended up watching tv for the first time in a long time haha. I had a lot of fun watching it.
- Did you see that girl who was captured on screen who resembles you?
▲ Yes. I saw it (laughs). Everyone says we look alike but I can’t really tell… T_T I guess the eyes are kind of alike…
- Do you like oDin or Stork?
▲ I dislike both hehehehe.

Honestly they're both great hyungs so I like both of them!

I love Jangbi! Haha... it's hard to translate when he's talking cutely (koreans can add certain sounds to the ends of their sentences to be cute) so whenever I put a ~ he's speaking cutely (apparently this questionnaire was done by email so he put in a lot of emoticons and the cute endings).
And I'll admit I wasn't a huge Leta fan before but this interview made me like him a lot. Seems like other progamers love him as well.
As always, everything taken from fomos.kr
Not perfect - feedback welcome!
Hope you enjoyed these interviews as much as I did, haha.
