I know you guys are able to figure out who might be a progamer based on hotkeys and playing styles or apm, but how come Romad is the one you guys look to for confirmation? I assume he has like every progamer replay he possibly can get from every resource possible and checks everything from hotkeys to average apm etc. I would assume he knows tendencies that different players use in hotkey patterns like who hotkeys command center to what number and production buildings. I think I saw one time an overlay or something with a known progamer hotkey pattern and something in question from last season comparing in the same shot, it was pretty sweet. I dunno if he uses stuff like that or if that was something I'm imagining.
but because players use the same hotkeys it's fairly easy to tell who's who if you know what to look for and have a replay of them obviously. Toughest thing is getting the replays of them. jim's pretty good at that, has connections with all these gosus who send him their reps.

Haven't read this thread, but one of the notable foreigners is a disc hacker
I solved a complain for a drophack by Egypt77 >_>

im interested to know who qzmpwxno is, this guy has beaten sea.1234(leta or is he?) 5 times in a row.
and pgr21.com has beaten qzmpwxno twice in a row.
So if sea.1234 is really leta then these guys must be pretty good.

There's no doubt they're "pretty good"
Probably the top 100 on ICCUP last season consisted of progamers and amateurs, and probably even more are playing this season. It's nice to see ICCUP finally really blossoming after they added the LAN capability.

he's one of the random Koreans NeverExpo recruited and made an account for (hence the canadian flag) just like nrg.nasty and the few other koreans he got.

not every single Korean lags, and plus when you're in the game you probably can't notice the lag since you always play in it... jokess, but seriously, not all Koreans lag.

I dont lag in all of my games but once in awhile i do need to switch to high or extra high latency because the lag is bad.

Man it pains me to see that most europeans i play fail to understand that the speed of light=lag. No offense to Euros who do understand this, but all offense intended to euros who accuse me of lagging because it could'nt possibly be them because of their gosu internet connections . It's the speed of light not being fast enough ok? We are both lagging.
protip: 99% of people who play starcraft have a good enough internet to run it extremely fast. There isn't much difference in running starcraft on a 56k than running it on the fastest internet you could possibly imagine. Why? because 56k is about the maximum requirements for playing starcraft. (I myself run it on 7.5mbps which is about 100 times what i need for starcraft.)
The reason why you lag on iccup is because of these possible reasons. A) the distance between the places you two are playing. B) One of you is downloading other crap on bittorrent or whatever which is using up all your internet because your too dumb to put a dl cap on it.
When i play australians/other new zealanders there is zero lag. When i play Koreans sometimes there is a little bit of lag When i play Americans sometimes there is a little bit of lag. When i play Europeans there is lag.
Lag or high ping will always be present when playing someone from more than about 8,000km away no matter how fast your connection is.
