I've noticed that I can eat pretty much ANYTHING, under one condition: it has to be food that I like.
Let me explain.
If I was given any decent, even sub-par, slice of pizza, plate of kim-chi, or cone of ice cream, I wouldn't give a second thought about eating it.
However, if I was given something I don't like (mushroom, seafood, asparagus), it would have to be made incredibly well. Otherwise, I just won't eat it.
I guess one could say that I have an unrefined taste for food.
What about you? (i would be the second choice)

i'm not picky, whatever is put in front of me, i'll eat it. Of course, I would rather eat something else, it's still food and in th end all that matters is that I no longer am hungry.

I'm basically same with you. For kinds of food I like, it has to be REAL bad for me not to eat it

you eat straight kimchi? its so good when paired with the right foods but its fucking nasty eaten by itself.

if it tastes good then ill eat it. i really like how certain kinds of beef dishes are prepared, and i could eat a mound of that, but other dishes that are also beef could be prepared a different way, giving it a different taste or texture, and i could hate it.
so for me, i guess it doesn't depend on a particular category of food (pizza, fried rice, chicken wings, whatever), but each thing i eat is considered as its own. fried rice can be made exceptionally well (mouth orgasm) or a cook could screw it up and i wont eat it for money.
screw categories; i judge each food without a label.
edit - oh snap i didnt realize this was my 3000th post; im a devourer now; i guess that fits the topic...

I'll eat anything and I mean anything as long as its not damaging to the body or incredibly unhealthy for you. Of course there is preference over certain foods, but as long as its considered food in some part of the world I'll try it at least once. I really want to try a true Asian cuisine that include foods you would find only in local markets, such as insects, reptiles, birds, that are usually only fond in Asia.
Will head to some Asian country just for the food if I had the money.

So you're saying that you eat foods that you like? No way! I think what you mean is that you really like some foods and really dislike others (for example bad pizza still tastes better than good mushrooms)... which is pretty common
Personally, I eat (and enjoy) just about anything.

As long as the smell isn't too overpowering, causing me to vomit before I ingest it, doesn't really matter. I find that so long as the thing isn't cooked horribly (like a kilogram of salt or something on a steak) the taste is usually acceptable.
I also usually find fancy food extremely boring or whatever. Like, why pay 15 dollars extra on a dish for saffron or something I can barely taste when I could buy 15 double cheeseburgers at McDonalds for the same price.

I eat anything. I've eaten a lot of wierd things actually... A lot of cultural foods, lots of wierd meats, wierd sauces, different cuisines... Yeah, it's really good to enjoy diverse food. duh?
I really dislike people who are closed minded about food. I dunno, pet peeve? Like, why wouldn't you at least try it? wtf is wrong with you? At least try~ unless it smells funny to you or something... but even then, at least try. In the worst case scenario, add hot sauce, solved.
Like, I used to think yogurt had the funkiest smell, and it still sorta does, but i eat it now. Actually had yogurt for the first time when I was like 8. Hated it, then I added hot sauce.... .... ...

I'll eat anything, but there's a limit to how much i eat. I get really sick if i eat too much greasy food and stuff

what is kimchi good with?
|
Nowadays I try to appreciate the fact that I even have food to eat, so I try not to complain about any food I get.

I might complain about the food my mom makes, but I'll eat it cause I appreciate even having food to eat. But if I had to choose, of course I would go with only the best.

I eat almost anything by North American standards, but most things are mediocre at best...

The only things I cannot eat are mushrooms.
