I see no reason to complain. If you have given them wrong contact info, what are you worrying about anyway?
edit:

So now it is the fault of all the other people that you didn't have a ticket?

If you do this i doubt you will have to pay. Also they might not keep it on your record. If you just ignore the fine then it will stay with you.

where are you right now?(us i assume because of usd) there are of course, laws. but anyways, you should appeal it. even if you fail you could talk to the prosecutors and lower the charges.

Like they said, if you gave them the wrong info, nothing to worry about! Except they look for you the next time.

but the thing is that all of my life ive been kind of like the "good guy" and just the thought of me getting into problems with the authorities breaks me down to pieces.
my parents are in europe helping me pay for my tuition and rent, i work as a math tutor and get paid like $10/h i barely have enough to buy some ramen noodles.
besides, what would they say to me if i tell them i gotta go to court? you know my parents are expecting i graduate with honors T.T
edit: lol they're giving free food right now, brb

oh and think of it this way, tomorrow, theyll catch someone else thats in your place. just that today, youre in someone elses shoes.

^-------- What you should do btw, thats what court is for. It's when people skip out and forfeit their right to argue that they get fucked. If you explain the entire situation and appologize maybe they let you off.

honestly, if the judge isnt a prick, you could appeal it easily.

So you think they should just let it go because he said that? It's the only way they can know if he paid or not.

I think that the fact that he did pay should exempt him from idiotic sounding "Hahaha, you deserved it fucker" posts.

That's how it's always worked. It's a shitty, unfortunate situation. If he didn't spin it to be "fucking authorities", then I wouldn't have spun my reply as I did.

sorry its just that i come from a country in which the word "authorities" doesn't even exist in the dictionary.
cops are more corrupt than the criminals themselves, and i have developed a negative image of them.
ill have to talk to my parents today.......................................................................

That's a hefty fine.
Unrelated, but a few years ago the fine for no ticket was £20, and they didn't always check for tickets (they check more often and have gates now). On off-peak journeys it was more worthwhile to not buy a ticket since it cost about £15 anyway. In the long run you would save money even if you got caught every other time.

Also, when I realized no one checked the tickets in Calgary for the train, I just rode without one. I'd carry an old ticket in my coat to show in a pinch (ie. never). I'd always check the platform for cops before I got off, and if they were there (like twice in 18 months), I'd just ride to the next station, buy a ticket and then ride back up. Easy.

Ah, bad luck.
You didn't give them your real name did you? If you did the best thing is to go to court and explain the situation. If they have your name there is a chance they will find you, and then you will be fucked.

wtf you had ticket but no passpart so you have to pay 150$

He just didn't have his passport/ID with him (which apparently you need? meh).
