Ofcourse, you always need to constantly be scouting for these kinds of things. Unfortunately though my scouting failed towards the later part of the game. The zerg player probably could have easily gotten away with a hidden expansion or he could have switched tech some more times and take me off guard like he did with the lurkers.
Part 2 may not be up for another 10-15 mniutes. Its still processing before it goes live...
Analysis:I've finally been able to play and get a match where I have definitely not played nooby. I know that there is alot of improvement that needs to be done, but this is definitely one of my better games where I play more towards my peak and full potential. The other person, the zerg player opened with a 3 hatch muta build I think. It was unorthodox though because of the lack of tech for the most part until i saw the spire, and then the very late mutas. Fortunately, I was able to put up cannons just in the nick of time, but my scouting sort of died off. There is much improvement to be done, for one I shouldn't have been caught off guard by the sort of sudden switch to the lurkers. If i had scouted adequately, I would have seen the hydra den. Also because of the laid back style harass and not very many mutas were being reinforced, this wasn't an all in muta build or muta/ling into ultra ling build. I would have gotten my observatory up faster and would have not been so caught off balance if i applied that scouting information. It just takes practice and mass gaming to accomplish things like that in my opinion. Also the zerg player took my third expansion down completely. From the looks of that, he had brought all of his forces into the assault and therefore left his natural pretty empty in defense. Also if he DID have some lurkers, it wouldn't have been too many but the damage that was caused certainly wouldn't have been so much. His forces were at his natural and my third expo finishing that off. That meant that his expansion towards the 12 position was left literally undefended. The game was sealed when he lost that expansion, or at least when it was being heavily harassed. I think that he needed that third gas more than I did. I could have expanded sooner then I did though but once again thats lack of experience and hopefully I will fix taht in future games His guardian counter attack was a too little too late move. That meant he was at hive tech but he didn't have enough gas to get everything he needed. I think that his defilers might have been late and his ultralisks were nonexistent because of lack of gas. ZIZI YO
in my experience it's always safe better than sorry for pvz. get your techs up earlier and never too few cannons because toss needs to be precise, and you cannot afford to make mistakes. :X that's why I'm playing more zerg now, you can be bit sloppy but as long as your general idea is right you can win.
Definitely solid macro, I feel you can spend more time with your units in battle though, like when you put your units on hold position at his natural, I would've run them up the ramp into the main instead. But maybe that's just me being compulsive, because I feel I have not really hurt the zerg unless i rape his drones.
You should work on your building placement and micro mainly. For example when you mciro you are doing tons of useless shit with your units.. When you fight lurkers jsut run 4 zealots to different spots behind the lurkers, dont send groups of units AT the lurkers (which is what you did). When you see you are winning a battle really really easily like when you killed 12 you should go back and macro instead of clicking around doing nothing and storming 2? drones.
Make a gateway in front of your cannons at expos so lings cant do much damage. When you saw his guards you should have immediately made corsairs and taken bottom right just in case he killed that expo.
idk what rank he was. He had like 2700 points though and the guy was 14-7. Last season he reached C- with stats of 51-40. Also thanks for the advice with the lurkers. I always have trouble fighting against mass lurkers >_>
