@Second vid: Give it some time to process This is a match I played on iccup. The Zerg player attempted to do a 2 hatch muta build. This video shows the importance of scouting. First I had to scout to see if he was going to play a more aggressive game or if his intentions were a macro long game. I scouted an agressive 9 pool+extractor build and he made 6 or 8 lings. I sent two probes to protect my ramp just in case he attempted to run up it. When he was attacking my scouting probe, he didn't have his lings speed upgraded. That meant he was going for some sort of tech build. That was confirmed when I scouted his spire. If I didn't scout his spire, I probably still would have put up cannons and tried to get that sair out as soon as possible. Knowing what the zerg is doing is power :O Knowledge is power O_o When I saw the spire, I had to make sure that the zerg player wouldn't change tech so I had to make sure he was going to stick to his 2 hatch muta build. Also, when he did have his mutas out, I scouted that there was no hydra den yet so that meant this was an all-in muta build. If i stayed in my base, I probably was going to come out on top. I also had to make sure that he wouldn't suprise me with putting up a quick hive and morphing those mutalisks to guardians while he had me pinned in my base. Instead he went for hydras, which I think was a very critical mistake. I think that was too gas intensive build for only having 2 gasses. He would only be able to make a limited number of mutalisks or hydras and not enough to be a complete threat to my army mix. The zerg player lost because I was able to scout what he was doing and was able to counter him with the appropriate actions. If he tried to stop my scouting harder, I think he would have had a huge edge in this match. Also he had some scourges, about 4 or so when he was harassing me. That was also probably a waste of gas in anticipation for mass corsairs. He stopped making them at least when he saw I was going for archons. Also he didn't take a third base while he had me contained. I kept scouting for that, but there wasn't one so he was really planning on ending the game soon in either a win or a loss.
O_o Keep it cool guys. For me, making fpvods just helps me look at how i play and stuff and how i can improve myself. I guess its more of a self reflection of what i can do better.

I think it's good that you upload them, it's always positive to see how someone else deals with a situation or how they play out a bo. I liked the previous, bo-specific ones better though.

I thought it was to play bad music while playing Starcraft while making others suffer through it.
Anyways, I don't really think gas is the limiting factor in switching from muta to hydra... it's minerals. I guess the first few upgrades cost a lot of gas, but they cost just as many minerals and if he only has two hatches that isn't many drones. Although the Zerg had three hatches by the time he got muta.... pretty weird build that he did.
