Getting sick, as well as other ramblings

{CC}StealthBlue United States41117 Posts December 09 2008 09:35 GMT #1 This sucks, I can't sleep. My throat is scratchy and chest feels heavy, coughing, and I had a headache. Took some migraine pills which helped, now if only I could go to sleep. I know I will feel worse when I wake up though. I read that in the movie Hook the Boo Box scene was Glenn Close, did not know that. Interesting. Work was heavy as usual seeing how it is peak season started at 2 in the afternoon and finished at about 9. Finished all my final exams for classes this semester, now the waiting game begins. Also I figured out a line if a girl says no. Hope I don't ever have to use it though. Damn my chest hurts.

My dad is a fool who's really sick, so he doesn't know how to quarantine himself as he's coughing all over the house and in the kitchen and shit. So basically I pick up the virus from there, but I'm not sick yet. Then it's cold as balls that day as I head out to my first of two exams that day... The bus is fucking slow cause it's Sunday and for some reason that means the buses have to come by less often. Today I've gotten maybe 4 hours of sleep... That's not that bad tho. I get to my first exam, write it... It's fine. Takes me an hour to complete it, I had 3 hours if I needed it. So it's now 3pm and my next exam is at 7pm. There's not really enough time to get back home and do anything meaningful, so I have to spend 4 hours at the university... I decide to study a bit for my next exam... The building I'm in is really shittily heated, and it's actually pretty cold, which doesn't help my immune system at all. My left eye really hurts cause of this eyelash I couldn't get out of it earlier is stuck on the inside of the lid, so that doesn't help either. When it's almost time for my next exam when my throat is sore and my nose hurts, so I take a lausenge which I had brought with my just in case. During the exam, I realise how little I've had to eat cause all I had during the break was some cheerios... and before that, some shitty tiny lunch.... So an hour into that exam, I'm feeling like I'm just gonna pass out on my desk... I finish it off a half hour later (again, I could have had 3 hours..) and head home, only now I've got a horrible cough and everytime I swallow my nose hurts... The bus takes forever again, and now it's really really fuckin cold cause it's nighttime in the winter... By the time I get off the bus, I have another 15 minute cold in the freezing cold and everything is just shit with my cough and no particular protection against the cold... Late that night I develop these retarded hiccups which come at me every 4 second for about an hour that drive me up the wall. I don't have any exams the next day, but I do have one today (tuesday). So I end up finally getting rid of the hiccups and going to sleep. The next day I get an email back from my university telling me that I'm not allowed to change my major because registration has already ended for winter term... Why the fuck should that matter if everyone is switching classes and majors a month into terms anyway? Must be a policy change... Did I also mention I have to pay next semsters ridiculous tuition 3 days before my last exam is even over? Thanks, that's exactly what I need right now. To worry about money and my exams.. What's worse than that though, is that I get another email on the night of that day that tells me "oh, and by the way, the assholes at OCTranspo (my public bus system) are going on strike on december 10th... So find your own way to get to school and work while we're busy asking for more money, even though we already charge more than double what the people in Victoria are paying!!! I fucking hate these bus drivers... just replace them with machines that don't complain or something... So basically I have no idea how the fuck I'm gonna get to my last two exams... And that night I had the worst coughs for like 6 hours, when I finally got to sleep it was 7am, and I went to bed at 12.... So I've got minimal sleep, I'm sick, and I'm pissed off about the bus system going into my exam today at 2pm... which I have to leave for in a half hour. I should have been doing some last minute studying, but I decided I wanted to bitch on TL.
