Hokay so finals are getting nearer and due to intense work and nervousness I'm beginning to bite my nails again. So I intend, starting today, to not bite my nails and using only filers and clippers untill the end of the finals 12/20.
Hopefully it'll work out!

I stopped the biting habit awhile ago, so nowadays I only bite them when thinking really hard(unconcious reflex) or in stress, so the point now is to stop biting habits in those situations also.

So... starts now!

P.S.
Nail is a huge deal for me because I play classical guitar, and I cannot play w/o them.

oh man i bite my nails too when i'm under stress/taking exams TT

or when i'm reallly bored in class.

I've bitten my nails pretty much my whole life. To this day, I still can't figure out what the big deal is with it. I've yet to see any negative consequences. Admittedly, I did stop doing it for like a month, but that was really only so I could prove to myself that I could. I have this thing about not liking being controlled by things.

Anyway, good luck with that. Hope you can stick to it.

Do you also kinda bite the skin on your fingers beside the nails? I know two girls who have this habit and it makes their fingers look really scary, because at some point they go so far they hit the flesh : /
