I imagine he’s not the first to have thought such things, but yeah to go and PM it is a tad unhinged And aye like, there is the occasional good point but they’re acting like they’re sitting on like, the Sistine Chapel of mic drop takes, a work of art so monumental that people must see it no matter how ‘the man’ tries to suppress it. Like, it’s alright, not ‘making new TL accounts my full-time job’ good

If I was to lose my mind and spend hours making new accounts to force people to read my posts I’d hope it would be for something better than that. He’s got this desperate need to be heard but lacks anything worth hearing. I don't know, posting a structured block of text that makes sense takes quite a bit of effort. That time and effort is more valuable when you have a job/family/various adult problems. Ive noticed the post quality take a dive with each new account, less structure and more stream of thought, and the thoughts are making less sense too. Who knows whats going on in the lives of people here, you see the same names for years they could have any amount of problems and need help. I hope this guy gets better, spending all this time here hitting against a brick wall isnt healthy... I don't agree with a lot of people here but Id never want any of you to end up like this, sad part is there isnt much we can do to help, though sending PMs like that...

I was reflecting on this as I lay in bed last night laughing with my wife about the lunatic who threatened to fight me over forum moderation and then whined On July 03 2024 14:04 Amphidamas wrote: when I posted his threat publicly. But not the whole world, more specific than that, the 10 or so people who read a politics thread on a 20 year old Starcraft gaming forum that I've actually been kicked out of for being an asshole and am not allowed to post to anymore. So anyway I spent an hour typing up my essay and posted it but then it was deleted because I'm not allowed to post there anymore because I couldn't stop sending personal attacks at people over politics. Totally unfair. Anyway, the world, by which I mean those 10 people, had to hear my opinion and so even though I'm clearly not welcome I tried to post it again. But it was deleted again. So I made new accounts over and over and that's how I spent my day." "Well did your post make it in at last?" "No, but I did send violent threats to the forum moderation staff so it wasn't a day wasted." How deeply sad. Of course my imagined scenario is nonsense because it is predicated on him having an individual in his life who sees him for who he is and loves him. No individual who acts this way would ever let anyone in their circle see it, deep down they know that it's not okay to be the person they choose to be. But it would probably be beneficial for him to share the story with his medical provider or case worker so that they can update his treatment plan accordingly. If his online interactions are causing him to become enraged and unstable in a way that negatively impacts his mental health then maybe it would be better for him to just stop. I don't know, I'm not his case worker.
