A: Soma (Z) - Mong (T) ----- (Yeah I think Mong is gonna cause an upset and top Mini in that group) B: Soulkey (Z) - Rain (P) C: Snow (P) - Royal (T) D: Light (T) - Action (Z) E: Queen (Z) - Sharp (T) F: Rush (T) - Bisu (P) ----- (hard to pick here between Bisu & Stork -- I'll go with Bisu though)

The way he beat Soma in the qualifier during day 1 was quite impressive (esp game 2 where he just literally stomped him out).

A: Mini / Soma - Mong much inferior to the favorites but good enough to pull off a bo1 upset, Mong's weak bio might make Soma the tougher matchup B: Soulkey / Rain - I can actually see Calm pulling of the ZvZ upset vs Soulkey but besides that Soulkey and Rain are heavily favored in a soft group C: Snow / Royal - soft group for the favorites D: Light / Action - group of death but Light should be favored against the Zergs and a relatively weak P in Free. Action edges out Effort (but I am rooting for Effort) E: Queen / JD - I generally root for Sharp but he has shown nothing for several ASLs in a row. Sharp's TvZ is his worst matchup and his once great TvT has been underwhelming in recent times. Clear case of putting strongest tier 3 w the weakest tier 2 F: Rush / Bisu - Rush gets an "easier" group than Light, but has to face 2 formidable Protoss that can take him out in a bo1. Ivory should be fodder

That's why I support these players: Jaedong, Best, Bisu, SoulKey, Action. I think these legendary players deserve to play at least in the final. It's even surprising that none of them played in the final in 15 ASL seasons. Therefore, I am for this 5.

Mong can upset if he's in peak condition but seems unlikely. B: Rain/Soulkey >>> Calm/Sea. Big gap between top 2 and bottom 2. Pretty much set in stone. C: Snow > RoyaL > Shuttle > Killer. Snow and Royal seems guaranteed but both Killer and Shuttle are capable of upsetting this group. Weird group that will have upsets but based on statistics Snow and Royal should roll this. D: Light > Action/Effort > Free. Light seems favored but Action and Effort have the potential to take Light out. Free seems shaky in his consistency. Good form Free can upset either Action or Effort, but he's clearly the weakest in this group. Group of death? E: Queen/Jaedong > Sharp > Ample. Last season, Ample was with Soma, Mind and Best(who went to semi-finals and finals) which was in hindsight arguably the strongest group in ASL15. Ample upset Soma and he's capable of upsetting either Queen or Jaedong with TvZ being his best. I don't see Ample upsetting Sharp however. Sharp seems stronger in TvT. Sharp is capable of taking Jaedong or Queen if he doesn't choke. I am calling this group for upsets. D: Bisu/Rush >> Stork >> Ivory. Saw some sponmatches with Ivory and he doesn't seem to be on he same level. He has good early all in play but Bisu and Rush are both strong against that. There's potential for Ivory to upset stork, but neither Stork or Ivory can take on Bisu or Rush.

Bisu is in general the better player (much better) compared to Stork. But in PvP I feel like you can't say anything unless it's Best playing. The skill gap between players seem to be blurred the most in PvP among all match-ups, if you know what I mean. For example if you compare Bisu's PvT and PvZ to someone like Shuttle, it's day and night, but if you look at the head to head record, Bisu only won 2 out of 3 times vs Shuttle, which means in a BO1 Shuttle can eliminate Bisu quite easily. Same for Stork.

- I cannot believe that, in 2023, people still believe in Sharp. Hes on pace to reach the Movie tier quite soon. Group A is definately the funniest group. Fun players, and everyone has a shot to advance. I am quite impressed about Leta lately. I dont count him out. Also, poor shuttle. RO16 has to wait again, it looks like. .
