Also, Sparkle for Vermeer would instantly make the map pool better.
Also, also, this is going to be cool regardless of map pool.

I mean, Fighting Spirit was arguably a modernization of Luna.

We decided to implement a few changes into the announced event. I hope you will all love them! 1. We will update the map pool, by eliminating the map, which is unupdateable + add bonus map challenge. 2. We will extend qualifications phase by adding THREE Ladder Stages on ShieldBattery where you can earn BSL 2023 Points by practicing on ThaiLANd maps! I. MAP POOL 1. Third Impact will be replaced with Champion (Challenger remake) 2. The moment we will reach $10 000 goal, we will switch Sparkle into Paranoid Android XXL Map pool after update: 1. Sand Storm (Remake of Blue Storm) 2. Champion (Remake of Challenger) 3. Winter Solstice (Remake of Tau Cross) 4. Neo Rush Hour (Remake of Rush Hour) 5. Lights Out (Remake of Circuit Breakers) 6. Neo Luna (Remake of Luna) 7. Sparkle (Most balanced island map) II. BSL 2023 Points We decided to add an extra way to gain BSL 2023 Points. Beside winning points in 25x Qualifier Tournaments, you will be able to win them for being active on ShieldBattery. We will have three months of ladder with map pool of Bombastic 25th Anniversary LAN:
Each month TOP10 players will win extra BSL 2023 Points: 1st - 150 Points 2nd - 130 Points 3rd - 110 Points 4th - 90 Points 5th - 70 Points 6th - 50 Points 7th - 40 Points 8th - 30 Points 9th - 20 Points 10th - 10 Points That gives 700 extra points each month, 2100 extra points total. Which is ~20% extra points to earn for the active players: ~10 000 points in Qualifier Tournaments and 2100 points in SB Ladder Stages. I will create a new post regarding qualifiers next week, where I will add links to sign up for each tournament as well as for the each month league on ShieldBattery. I hope you like the changes, stay tuned!

Now lets change Neo Luna for Retro and We actually have a really solid map pool. And we could make it even better by changing Sparkle for La campanella the new ASL map. Think about it instead of that Rush hour remake please. Hii Eonzerg! The new version of Neo Luna is really impressive, just take a look, i hope you will like it:

That said... Good thing you changed the map pool. You need maps from the current ladder pool and/or whatever the Korean pros are playing on right now (next ASL maps) and maybe 2 odd maps, if you want to interest the top foreigners and see quality games. The top player base is so small - and they'll be eachothers' competitors - it's almost impossible to get solid practice on maps that aren't used anywhere else (even if they aren't odd). I'm a big fan of the odd maps, but the reality is that the best way for a foreigner to improve is grind ladder all day and thus they comparatively suck at odd maps. Actually the same is true for pros. We saw that with 76 recently in ASL (and Neo Arkanoid before that). The majority of ASL players just ended up vetoing 76. In general players seem quite clueless how to play odd maps. They need a certain rule set they can follow and stick to for their mechanics, one they already know. They don't want to invent a new way, because it takes too much time or too much effort. The time of players like Boxer is long gone. Being creative, cheesy if you will, is no longer beneficial unless you're Shine. Please don't try too hard to please eOn as he will complain about the map pool regardless lol

The map change was made because map maker of Third Impact was inactive to make necessary changes to balance and polish the map. Exchanging Sparkle plan was there from the very beginning Regarding choosing ladder maps - I always try to involve at least 3 maps from ladder in BSL - but BSL ladder is shorter, here we will have 3 months of ladder on SB on THIS TOUR MAP POOL - so for those who will want to practice, they will have a chance to do it. That's the exact reason we added ladder stages on SB - to give you a good place to practice on those maps.

If Jaedong actually agree to go there that will be super insane. Hopefully they invite some others progamers also so the winner will not be clear by Jaedong smashing foreigners. Btw i thought ZZZero said it was a non korean tournament. I guess he forgot to type in the memo that they were trying to invite progamers too. But good decision. This can give so much hype to the tourney now and mb help to get more prizepool.

Anyway. What happens to invited players? Where will they start in the bracket? Inviting Major league players, like JD, will be injecting unfair competition lol. But getting to meet him in Thailand would be a nice consolation I guess. Also top 8 getting flight & accommodation covered is super nice. It's like a free BW vacation if you're good enough.
