In fact, Savior might have been the last of the bonjwa. The skill gap between players in this generation of Starcraft is just so minute that even the smallest mistake can make the difference between winning or losing.

Most likely, there won't be another bonjwa. For a while, Bisu, Jaedong, and Flash all looked like they were unstoppable but that clearly wasn't the case. It's unlikely anyone will be able to revolutionalize the game like iloveoov and, to a lesser degree, sAviOr. Best is strong right now but personally (I might eat my words), I don't see him becoming dominant. His PvP is strong but his other two match ups are questionable. In addition, the Protoss race is in a slump so having an incredibly strong PvP isn't as significant as it could have been. edit: didn't read nimysa's post XD. I still stand by my opinion though ^^

But as others have said, the skill gap is so small now between the best players, that there may not be another bonjwa.

BeSt is surrounded with Starcraft legends at T1 and he definitely seems to have the composure and drive to practice until he is the best. After this OSL, he is ready to handle whatever pressure situations the next one can throw at him. Also keep in mind that he's an extremely young player, I mean Bacchus OSL was his first ever Starleague and he made it to the Ro8 before losing 1-2 to the strongest PvP at the time (Stork). That means he made it to the Finals in his second-ever Starleague, which is pretty freaking good.

BeSt is just awful PvZ, and is not going to win anything unless he pulls off a Casy not facing any competent players in his worst MU. I also believe he lacks the mental strength. I believe YJ has the potential, but he's still an unpolished diamond who needs more important matches under his belt. But when it all comes down to it I cant see any immediate Bonjwas in the near future for any of the races.

He lost to fucking cuteangel, and it wasn't even because cuteangel cheesed. It was because Bisu plays worse PvT then the people combat-EX plays on iccup. He couldn't even pull off an easy reaver drop, because his mechanics suck. He beat Stork in PvP because he cheesed, and the entire time before that he was playing slower and worse than Stork. BeSt will get better in the matchup, and even then, that makes TWO mu's he's good at. Versus Bisu's ONE. I personally feel that YJ will be the next force, but at the moment BeSt makes Bisu look like a noob.

As was Jaedongs. The problem is not what I would say is consistency, but longevity. So many games are played today, with such a mechanical outlook, fizzing out is inevitable. It is not one mistake that leads to the loss of a game- one catastrophic mistake maybe, or perhaps a mistake during a rush or being rushed, but thats always been true. Rather, because long macro games are so hard to keep up with, when you are practicing for three match ups constantly, playing like Flash was for example, maybe 10, maybe more, a MONTH, well...There was never an actual Protoss bonjwa to begin with. In fact, Savior might have been the last of the bonjwa. The skill gap between players in this generation of Starcraft is just so minute that even the smallest mistake can make the difference between winning or losing. Lower the rate of games played, and I guarantee we would have a Bonjwa.
