first pick by far: Concord on a lot of 4vs4 ladder maps taking a third is too problematic as a zerg. either the distance is too long, rocks have to be destoyed first, or your teammates are not able defending it together. i do not see any of these problems in concord. the open field allows for good engagements. i also like the balance between mapsize and expansions in general. at least this is my first impression, and as a 4vs4 streamer i would really like this map being in the mappool for next season. contrary to this, a map like shipwrecked in the current map pool has a long distance even between your main and natural, if you do not spawn in one if the locations between your mates. in shipwrecked the third base is also very far away, and the map corridors are way more narrow (tanks are strong). and you are dependent on the help of your teammates defending a third. also the third is abusable by air (protoss air), and tanks shooting from their third towards your third. maps i do like in the current map pool are, in order from best to least: 1. Troizinia (open, good runby potential, enough expansions in early / mid game) 2. Multiprocessor (okay expansions, open field) 3. Last Remnant (enough expansions, both sides can macro up, or be highly aggressive) 4. Sunset Valley (bad third as zerg, rocks or too far away) 5. Shipwrecked (natural too far away, third too far away, abusable by ground and air) 6. Old Estate (laggy, too easy getting into lategame protoss air / terran air) 7. Sacred Grounds (third / rocks, swarm host abuse, distance between mates for help) from my own zergs perspective | ||

The 2v2 maps were quite strong; it was a little hard to pick only one of them. I felt that the 4v4 submissions were fairly weak though, and that I voted for the one I hated least rather than liked most. | ||
