And what did Dimaga achieve? Won a dreamhack. And placed second quite a few times in other major tournaments. Back around the start of WoL. Round the time when Jinro was also awesome.
E: oh, he was second at dreamhack and won ASUS ROG. I remembered those the other way round. Dimaga vs Mana finals both times.

damnit i just found out about this thread. WHICH GROUP IS SOO IN AND DID I ALREADY MISS MY CHANCE TO VOTE FOR HIM???????

ok reading some of these posts.
thorzain won multiple tournaments that had koreans where he beat them. this was during the time that EG was buying winners. thorzain was immediately purchased and brought onto the roster. if EG bought you (like they did w stephano and huk and puma and etc), that means you were good. THEY NEVER BOUGHT RORO.
roro is a gglord and winfestor patch zerg who is remembered for being in one of the worst finals with gglords shooting broodlings at each other. roro winning coincides with the time that sc2 numbers completely plumetted, a terrible patch the likes of which have never been seen before, also coinciding with the SOTG where they brought on avilo, and he was mocked, yet was completely right about the patch being terribad. LOL.
thorzain >>>> roro
dimaga had a bunch of accomplishments including a good showing at the first gsl v the world, where i think he took a game off nestea????

Dimaga broke Nestea's ZvZ streak, actually, and advanced by winning 2-1.
RorO won while Zerg was very strong but he was a good player(he won as a broken Zerg against broken Zerg in a Code S final); Myungsik, on the other hand, was mediocre at best.
That's precisely the case of "31st in Code S is so much better than BlizzCon ro4 cause of trash foreigners".

Going to throw out a thought experiment - if Thorzain at his peak were to play RorO at his peak at LotV, who wins? Thorzain had proven results, RorO won in the patchzerg era. I reckon Thorzain wins!!
VOTE FOR THORZAIN!!
Don't forget that foreigners had it hard to compete in Korea. Home court advantage had a huge impact!
Remember, this contest is not about results, but on what you perceive to be "greatness".

RorO's accomplishments are winning a GSL (the final WoL GSL IIRC) and at one point having the best ZvP in the world. However he felt like just another Korean, whereas ThorZaIN had his own unique style and storyline.
ThorZaIN came out of thin air to win TSL3. He was an absolute, complete and utter nobody. In every single round prior to the finals he was the underdog. Nobody expected him to advance past the Ro32, let alone win. It's one of the greatest tournament runs of all time and his win over MC is still to this day one of the biggest upsets of all time.
In addition to TSL3, he also won a DreamHack in a great moment. Nothing special compared to winning a GSL, but still a neat accomplishment. He is also one of the only pro gamers in SC2 history who can say they single-handedly got a unit nerfed. With his thor-based victory over MC he got the thor's strike cannon nerfed. Only a few other players can claim to have gotten something nerfed all on their own.
And perhaps most importantly, ThorZaIN had an interesting and unique playstyle. The Korean community called him "The Spoon Terran" due to his incredibly safe and methodical style. He won so slowly it was like he was killing his opponent with a spoon. Sure, he coulda won the game 20 minutes ago, but why take that risk when he can just extend his lead and starve his opponent out? His playstyle was really unlike any other pro gamer and the nickname was very well earned.
My biggest problem with RorO is that he's ultimately not memorable. I of course remember his accomplishments, but if you asked me to name anything about his playstyle or any interesting storylines he's had in tournaments, I'd come up blank. He was literally just another great player that you could find anywhere.

Jjakji was never the best terran, despite winning GSL. And Inca wasn't the best Protoss that one time he was second in a GSL (and got trounced by Nestea, thank god).

I will address this once Aligulac gets up again, as I have no time to go through offline matches of these players manualy atm.
Jjakji's example is out of place though, since he had 2 walkovers to the finals in the first place, not to mention the much weaker player field that him and Inca faced (nevertheless, the former's victory over Leenock was still very impressive)

Jjakji dismantle of Leenock while being the outsider was superb.
Him and Roro had no legacy which is the problem compared to Thorzain (and Thorzain has one because he is a foreigner) but Jjakji didn't win during such a favorable era as the BL/Infestor ROro won, so I'd say Jjakji > THorzain but THorzain > Roro.
His TSL run was incredible and made Blizzard nerf terran, then he won a dreamhack against all odds while having decent records in Korea.
But imo both opinions are valid (Roro > Thorzain or Thorzain > Roro) depending on your definition of greatness. If we went by results / performance only, Roro > Thorzain though.
About DIMAGA vs Myungsik, I still voted for Myungsik even though DIMAGA was a boss in the old days, he doesn't even come close to Myungsik results wise so I didn't consider voting for DIMAGA.
