That group has Has, objectively the best player in not only this group, but any group, ever.
I bear this sig to commemorate the loss of the team icon that commemorated Oversky's 2008-2009 Proleague Round 1 performance.

Didn't we *just* establish that Idra got voted not necessarily based on quality, but because of what he meant to the scene? So regardless of RorO's actual skill... he was never even remotely the best zerg at any point, whereas Thorzain was the foreigner hope and brought us many great moments!

Best of which was, of course, his TSL 3 victory, but he also won Dreamhack, and was the first foreigner to win a match in Proleague (for you Korean elitists where nothing outside Korea counts) in god knows how long, and was MVP of the league.

As for skill, I can only find a single match between them, in an MLG invitational. And it was a 1-1 draw. So that's a wash. Chill get out!

ThorZain > Roro easily.
Wasn’t Roro only relevant during the PatchZerg era?

How are you not the best Zerg player in the world if you beat Life, MC, smash Taeja (who had eliminated Soulkey) and Symbol?
People act like RorO's GSL win was a patchzerg fluke, but he played better Starcraft than anyone else at the time (at least better than any other Zerg).
How can you even fucking say that the guy who won the hardest tournament on the planet, with all the best players participating was not the best player of his race? It takes some amazing mental gymnastic skills to justify that, and I simply can't wrap my head around it.

If RorO beats the best ZvZ player, the best TvZ player (arguably, he defeated Mvp and TaeJa, but sadly didn't get to play INnoVation) and one of the strongest PvZers in the history of the game (MC), to then take the tournament where all the best players in the world compete, how is he not at least the best player OF HIS RACE?
Unless all Zergs were terrible and carried by brood lord/infestor, and the one that was "the best" is your fan favorite, by some obscure personal metric, then it might not be RorO

If you want to recap yourself a GSL run from back when every Korean played the tournament (including "the runners" like MC and Taeja) and even Code A was stacked with massive talent (Rain didn't even make it to code S), you can go through RorO's GSL run here:
(Wiki)2013 Global StarCraft II League Season 1/Code S

edit:
and all of the above is obviously irrelevant to the fact that RorO also acted as Samsung KHAN's ace player in Proleague up until his retirement
truly, a WoL-only relevant foreigner was the better, more accomplished player

I also voted Sniper. People are unfairly discrediting their victories just because they happened to be in an era where Zerg was arguably slightly stronger than the other races.

''slightly''. 55% winrate in both matchups and 2 ZvZ finals in a row @GSL. Even so, Roro GSL win is bigger than anything Thorzain has done, be it with or without infestor broodlord. Anyway neither of them are even close to the top 32 so its barely worth discussing. I wonder if the OP picked too many players, some of these polls just have objectively right and wrong answers. I think the same amount of polls with a selection of 32 players could have yield better results. I mean, who the fuck would vote for Yonghwa or Bly over Dear and Rogue? I can't imagine someone doing that even if they were on crack.

I'm even more curious for the one who voted for Sound, someone who has never won a single GSL match, not even a single code A match.

Yeah. Can only be a troll vote, with 128 players competing there are clearly ''wrong'' answers which makes a lot of these polls silly.
