I just got 6 teeth pulled out about 30 minutes ago.
4 wisdom teeth, cuz they didn't have enough room. 2 premolars on the top cuz I'm gonna get braces (actually invisalign, but they do the same thing) and to straighten all my teeth, 2 needed to be removed so the rest of my teeth have enough room.
I now have a lot of gauze in my mouth and I can't feel much. I'm gonna have to take some painkillers later, and I can only eat really soft foods.
Sooo, I guess the next few days are gonna suck. Oh well.
Anyone who's gone through this wanna share their experiences or any tips/advice?

Don't suck on anything. Use pain medication. Ride it out. GL

This, and make sure you don't eat anything that can get stuck in the holes now in your mouth, esp the wisdom teeth holes, cuz they're big. I got rice stuck in their because I was dying for chinese food after not eating real shit for a few days and my god, that shit hurt coming out.
Also, don't smoke, but they probably already told you that.

Yes, spend the next week sleeping.

Go back and get the heaviest shit they can prescribe?

Think cheery thoughts and keep your mind actively on other things (books, StarCraft strategies, currents news items, etc. might help...) when you're awake, and try to get some peaceful/restful sleep when you're not trying to stay awake. Good luck! xO ~

I was lucky with my wisdom teeth, no swelling and no pain. Had a whole prescription of vicodin too, but didn't have to use any.

Eat a lot of icecream, it is soft and will make your mouth hurt less ... plus it is ICECREAM!!! =)...

just sleep, the pain and bleeding should be gone in a day or two, but it'll feel sore for at least a week.

Lol I just had my wisdom pulled out excatly one week ago. In fact, later today I am supposed to go back to the clinic for a check up.
I would advise using the gauze for only as long as you are bleeding. I think they made my swolleness worse than it should have been.
Eating yogurt, watermelon juice, and fruit smoothies really helped me. Not only did they taste good but I think they really help you recover as well.
Good luck man, the pain and discomfort and lack of solid food will be frustrating but try to make your life interesting.

I second yogurt and fruit smoothies.
I took out six teeth too, but not all at once. That's pretty harcore.

The oral surgeon that took out my wisdom teeth (all 4 at once) recommended that I rinse 2-3 times a day, preferably after meals, with warm salt water to help the healing process. Not sure exactly what that does, but I suppose it can't hurt.
For me, the pain wasn't that bad most of the time so I didn't take too much pain medication. The main problem was just finding foods you can eat with minimal trouble. My suggestion is yogurt and perhaps during the later half of the week try very buttery garlic bread. If the garlic bread has enough butter and it was freshly heated then it should be nice and soft. Also, by the end of the week I was craving something more solid like bread. Ice cream also sounds like a good suggestion.

thanks for the tips
update
I got rid of the gauze. i hated it. i also drooled a LOT. and there was still bleeding too. i just ate some baby food that my mom got me, and a little bit of cottage cheese and a thing of yogurt. baby food was good. i also took a painkiller right before i ate.
Phyre: about rinsing; my doctor said not to rinse until 24 hours later, but yours said to rinse? or is the 2-3 times rinsing after the first day of extraction?
Snet: omg what's your secret?
