Yes I was surprised to see how on point he was calling out the builds. He called out the doudle robo proxy and the 5 rax in games 1 and 2. Well played to Valdes and Rapid.
Cool series overall. Maru has grown a lot recently (huehue)

Congratulations to Maru, the first and only OSL, SSL, and GSL champion!
It's been a long time in coming, but the guy completely deserves it.

Wow wow wow, Just wow. Maru is on a roll lately playing so incredibly well.
He deserved the win!!

fuck me i missed it
yay maru is finally a champion

So solid for Maru. First korean triple crown and the third player to win three starleagues. Shame we didn't get any longer games
edit: although Stat's play was kinda underwhelming after seeing all 6 games. The only maps he won were defending allins (which he did very well).

congratulations to Maru, well deserved

I mean, I don't know if it's because Stats is lazy or what, but you don't clump 3 High Templars together when ghost is out for Terran. Do other top Protoss pros clump 3 HTs together? That is just lazy, unrefined play. He was moving across the map at that point. Nobody splits them up while you move and then there wasn't enough time (not a fast unit). Well and/or he didn't know that ghosts were on the field.

Yiss, Maru!!!
And the commentary was surprisingly good, since I skipped the intro, I don't know who was there with Valdez, but he handled it well

I was never a huge fan but I always respected the fact he's been improving since the start.

No. The games themselves were very high-level, but not particularly entertaining.

I think the first 3 games or so had some entertainment value. The series taken as a whole, though, felt pretty one-sided, despite Stats' two wins. When he lost, he looked completely outclassed. Like, comprehensively dominated.

I've been seeing a lot of hate towards the series, but rest assured that anyone who says that this was a bad series is a noob and has absolutely no idea what they are talking about.
Games were excellent and very entertaining. Casting was top notch too.

Putting people down because they don't like the things you do gets you nowhere.

Please explain why "the games themselves weren't good."

Does that even need explaining? By and large they were extremely one-sided with Maru pushing Stats (who made a lot of mistakes) around in the early game, and easily converting those leads into wins.
