Gee, I wonder what made you change your view. here is what i said.. " i wonder if this might be ... " that is a question. that is not a conclusion. but its good to see you are half reading my posts. Hill is due $60 million over 3 years and the Cavs.. as i said.. are heavy into the luxury tax. like the (4X) tax level. You're right, my bad. You did say you were just wondering. I'm glad Woj could provide some clarity for you. In completely unrelated news, Websters online dictionary defines speculate "2 : to be curious or doubtful about : wonder speculates whether it will rain all vacation" you are focusing on 1 word rather than the complete sentence. "wonder if this might be" keep plugging away though.

let's make it our goal, as lovers of the NBA thread to have more posts than the NFL thread.
on the actual trade itself.... George Hill played zero minutes tonight.
Cleveland looks like they don't even have basic cardiovascular conditioning required to play in the NBA. Kyle Anderson is blowing by guys...

Guys, at this point, it's on us. JJ has the tendency to lie, provoke, dodge, stonewall, weaselword, obfuscate, brag, and slither in all of his posts. I won't go into his mental health, but JJ is clearly not very well, or seem to have other agenda with the discussion. Laugh at his posts and move on. Why continue to engage him, it's not as if he has shown any insight on what he posts, or about anything NBA at all. It is pure masochism to insist on talking to him still. Let him do his thing.
Live, and let JJ live.

I hope we get to know what is really happening in this team's locker room.

Silver needs to do something about these crybabies. As a teacher, I see these kinds of power struggles all the time. Some players have entered the "death spiral" where they will not be satisfied. They will just keep talking in circles to prove they are right. You need the outside authority to say, enough is enough, here is what expected of you, play ball. If they want, they can give some sort of token statement or concession (like pretend it's both sides' fault). I think they pretty much have to say that they need to cut out the jawing at refs, though. After that, though, you kick the first guy who crosses the line's nuts into this collarbone.

ESPN is a great place to get in depth Raptors coverage. Today I learned, Derozan has developed a jump shot and the Raptors have a black head coach.

Live, and let JJ live. nah, my posts are solid. i back up my stuff with facts and logic.... and i correct people who make factually incorrect statements about Tyler Jones. you guys spend a lot of time talking about me though.
per engelmann, best 5 man lineup in the NBA > 200 minutes.
Tyler Jones. Butler, Wiggins, Gibson, Towns.

Your biggest problem is you make elaborate arguments about things that nobody cares about.

The Atlanta arena is a morgue. There is 10X as much energy at a Raptors 905 game compared to an Atlanta Hawks game. No wonder all of Atlanta's guys from their 60 win team are gone.

No he hasn't. Outside of points he doesn't stuff any other category.

i think Philadelphia is the best team in the eastern conference right now.
Horford got hit on the head in the Lakers game last night and is being held out of tonight's Clippers game for precautionary reasons. He has had 2 concussions that made him miss games in each of the last 2 years.
you have to wonder if someone might accidentally-on-purpose elbow him in the head in the playoffs.
Smart is out of tonight's game as well due to a laceration on his hand that required stitches.
On January 25 2018 12:09 Ace wrote: No he hasn't. |
Part of the problem is no matter what role you give him he never produces outside of points. Stop making excuses. High minute high usage players lower your team ceiling when they are below league average in everything except PPG. A wing player that can't create has to at least score well, if not rebounding well. Especially with massive minute loads.

one way to determine what a guy is doing in impossible to measure ways on offense is to look at his +/-, Adjusted +/-, ORPM etc. and look at the offensive rating on/off keeping in mind who substitutes in for Wiggins.
when u do that and interpret the results objectively you conclude Wiggins has a slightly better than average positive impact on his team's offense for the last calendar year.
i've probably watched half or a third of minnesota's games in hte past year and my direct observation of games is congruent with the above conclusion.
tonight Wiggins led the team in scoring AND had the worst +/- on the team. good offense.... bad defense.

Especially with massive minute loads. So... I was so intrigued by your argument with JimmiC that I watched the game last night instead of preparing for work stuff. Yeah, Wiggins is bad defensively. It was painful watching him so lost in the scheme. (And if Wiggins is bad, KAT is worse. He is like an over enthusiastic teenager who dominates 2k but never actually played ball, and he does all this skipping, leg crossing, hopping around, and getting faked out with the slightest head fake.) But back to Wiggins, I think good coaching can fix it, can't it? Plus, he can score.
So while agree that he is bad, I fail to see why you say he is below average. Who'd be an average player that we can compare him to?
