Also makes sense Archangel, I'm using dual curse Blasphemy so I don't need PCoC there. Guessing you have Wrath or full MoM? There are many ways to build I guess. But innervate is really strong, negates the loss of Wrath a bit. I got Wrath in Essence Worm ring. Innervate needs to kill enemies to activate and I don't need another short timer thing to frack around with . Well for me it works fine, since I'm a lightning build having it on Orb of Storms is super reliable. One would think that skill deals barely any damage but it somehow works. I learned that from Foxtactics, idk if he's doing it this league too but he did before. Also the new items are so crazy. I'm kinda sure the next league won't have all the crazy rares and they'll be only on Standard. But in boss fights you will probably not have it up 100% of the time, it is only 4s duration. I guess it comes down to how fast one plays. I clear maps slow and pick up yellows for my chaos recipe and so on. Upkeeping 12s Power Charges is already irritating for me.

jesus christ, thats an 8 link plus like 1.5 clusters on the skill tree

With Storm Call clear speed is really fast so it's fine. On bosses it's usually not up, except if they have adds, then it works.

Atziri too stronk, at least I got a nice last frame while I logged. Actually thought I'll make it until I saw the Character Screen. Got hit with Flameblast while I was OOM. :<

And what about all these older videos I see of CoC with 100 billion skills flying around GC mines and GC totems are both strong; self-cast GC isn't the strongest because it doesn't get the massive AoE bonuses that come with mines, it's short(ish) range, and you have to stand still and cast it, so it can be a little dangerous. It's not terrible, though; the spell does good damage and has decent AoE, could definitely do most/all content with it if you felt like it. CoC builds have been heavily nerfed by the addition of a 0.5 second cooldown to any spell linked to CoC. It's still possible to make builds that *kind of* work that way, either by stacking CoC + 2x Cospris, or by some kind of self-damage + CwDT cheese, but they're complicated, expensive, and in the end not really any better than simpler builds. The best of the lot is probably something like Mathil's Cospri build from last league. OH that's pretty sweet. I'm already running blade flurry I wonder if there would be a way to transition with a fuck ton of regret and cospris rather than rolling an entirely new char running essentially the same gem.

Wow this league mechanic is infinitely more fun than the previous. Thank god.

Added 10 slots to guild, we're at 95 pts now.

Aside from Excavation I'm enjoying all maps so far. That one was noticeably more empty while still huge.

Did they improve the layouts of the old maps as well?

Yes but still worse than Breach in my opinion. Breach sucks on certain layouts (corridors mostly). Abyss follows pathable areas, making layout far less relevant (although the holes and the swarms of mobs they spew can get you blocked).
Also there's no annoying Vortex totems to slow you down.

My only real problem with Abyss is that its sometimes really hard to see it when your screen is full of shit and you can miss a new branch forming

I like it but it seems a bit "random" as to how many rare mobs spawn and alltogether how much stuff turns up? Sometimes i get nearly swarmed to death and 3 rares throw themselves at me, sometimes there seem to be just a few bugs and 1 rare.
Well.. I just started mapping, lets see .
Mapping with ~3k HP and just ~20% resists feels pretty "interesting" (i'm still wearing lvl 22/23 rings and stuff like that).. Tinkerskins Heal/Phase is carrying me hard.
|
Lol, I got 3000 hp at lvl 58
|
Yeah, it will allways be squishy but not that squishy .. Doing ChinSol-Shrappnel-Shot-Trapper - Wouldn't recommend for HC, but its fun and if you crit with 11 mines, bosses just disappear .
Its clearly worse than the Meta (and Mine) builds because Trap cooldown still feels awkward while clearing, but well as long as it works . The goal is to just farm Uberlab later and atm it looks like it will be very possible and easy (just not in the "facetank everything way"). Atm i'm hoping for some decent rares to drop to get near 4k HP and maxed resists. But i'm also only lvl 70 and about 8 more life nodes are close.

On December 12 2017 00:53 Sn0_Man wrote: My character's kinda working out but i strongly question if i'll ever play a melee attack build ever again Really? I leveled as Ancestral Call meatballs and it felt amazing. Guess I didn't take it to endgame, though, so probably didn't feel the full effect of the Vaal Pact nerf.
In other news the corpse explosion skills feel great.

I still havent created a character, as I have no clue what I want to play... Do you guys have any propositions as to what a character is that you can start out with but also take to lategame? I'm thinking about rolling Spectral Throw, but I'm not sure if my PC can handle all the projectiles, lel. GC Miner was pretty much unplayable for me at some point.
Last seasons I played qotf snakebite assasin (2.6), which was an absolutely wonderful experience as it was my first character that season, I didnt play for a long time and it didnt need a lot to get the build started (after leveling with baldefall) and literally clear all content (while not trivializing lategame). I ended up clearing Shaper and Uber Atziri on this one, even though the last time I played PoE was pre-Atlas.. My 2nd character that league was a pizzablaster, which felt awkward at first because it didnt have insane movespeed, but I really enjoyed that character as well. Something about pretty much oneshotting everything and the strategic element of where to position to actually get the stacks off was just so much fun. Another character that you can just roll and sink time and currency into that will clear pretty much all content.
Last league I played Alur's Dyadus RF. Once again a char that you can basically start the league with and eventually clean house (aside from Shaper and Uber Atziri).
I gotta admit that I loved the fluent gameplay of qotf, yet I dont really like to optimize in terms of the clearspeed meta (aka using movement spells kind of feels clunky to me because of leaping into walls etc).
