Well, United cancelled my connecting flight home tonight.
So I was sitting at my gate, waiting for my flight to arrive (I had like a 3 hour layover) when I noticed a big CANCELLED next to my flight number. I waited in line for about a half an hour, only to be told I needed to wait in the customer service line at the other end of the airport. I get down there, and the line is literally about 300 yards long. So I get in line, wait three hours in that damn line and finally make my way to the front. They said there were "mechanical problems" and that they would re-book my flight for tomorrow. Also by this point they had had run out of hotel vouchers.
So here I am on the floor of the Denver airport with one of those crappy airplane pillows. And they gave me a $100 dollar coupon for a ticket in the future. Woohoo. At least I have my laptop, even tho the free wi-fi here takes about 5 minutes to load the TL homepage.
My cell phones dead (and my charger is on my checked bag) so I had to vent this all somewhere! Fuck UNITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wish me luck that the same thing doesn't happen tomorrow. Anyone else had bad airport experiences? (I'm sure you all have)

once me and my gf got stucked in singapore for a total of ..... 32 hours....
it wasn't pleasant.

Hey i was at the Denver airport today too. I had a flight from phoenix AZ. I got there with 30 minutes to spare, no delays, short flight and then i stepped into the denver airport and paid 35 dollars for a fucking tuna sandwich.

I've had my flight canceled before but I managed to get another one on the same day so it wasn't so bad. Do they at least give you a few free meals?

And worst I had was the plane got delayed ~8 hours. It was before we left though... so I just went home :D.

most airlines based in the US suck ass. Delta is the best of them and they still suck ass. As much as you can, try to use european ones.

UPDATE: my flight this morning has already been delayed 1 hour. I slept about a total of 2 hours last night.

I just flew to Chicago.. round trip. Was supposed to fly out on a Sunday night. Flight was cancelled and rescheduled for Monday night. Monday night comes along... flight gets delayed two hours. Then my flight back was also delayed over an hour and a half. This is all just for one trip!! Do flights ever freaking take off on time??
P.S. The flight there was American Airlines, the flight back United.

US Airways made us wait outside in the plane in Phoenix, when it was 110 degrees outside, for nearly 4 hours. Then they told us to get off, waited another hour, then canceled the flight. I was at the Phoenix airport from 10am to 9:30pm because of that. Was traveling to Chicago. Only thing I got was a $125 voucher.
