Inspiration:
A very small amount of you may remember my previous iteration of Ophilia from earlier in the year. This was my second created submission for TLMC8, accompanying Cajun Quandary, though I felt as if Ophilia was my pride and joy.
For the past few months since TLMC8; Streamers, friends, high level players and I, have had quite a handful of notable games on Ophilia RE's mother concept. Though most of the games turned out very interesting, there was still much more that could be done, So I drew on what I felt to be the most blunt issue on the map.

It may not be apparent, but thanks to the opinions of a few community figures, we concluded that the minimap was far to important to scarifice edge-space. The original Ophilia was far too thin, which left very awkward minimap black-out zones. Ophilia was already a very tight map, it worked, but the concept of adding horizontal space to the center was an easy way to revitalize the concept, and in turn, bring it to a more macro sensible style.

To draw upon an obvious feature of Ophilia, peoples eyes always shoot directly to the main three cluster of bases, This style of having wrap around archetecture connected to your main is a direct homage to an old favorite of mine: =**MEDUSA**=
For those who haven't played there before, the constant threat of drops above your main and open forward access to your bases made for a very map control focused style of play. Medusa shared so many different styles of aggression and defense, this is the spirit I want to return to with Ophilia RE

I want desperately to find the conclusion to this style being accepted by our mapping and pro-player community, and I will continue to refine this concept until these important figures see fit. Until then I'll be having fun exploring the avenues that are open to me, while attempting to add more non-meta material to the maps I hope you will all one day queue up for on ladder.
