Also, RM-ing is stupid. Just get a player to rejoin. EDIT: I guess slot closing does work, then.

What it does is removes your game from the list, since all slots are full or closed, and then when it appears on the list again when you open, it'll be on top of the list. oohh makes sense to me but yeah, it is annoying when you try to join a game that needs people, but cant because you clicked when the creator just closed the slots

I was under the impression that it is a warcraft 3 feature, and most people were just stupid enough that they assumed it worked in SC.

However, you probably have to wait a few seconds for this to work. Because the list has to get updated again (which takes, I don't know, 5 seconds?), otherwise the game remains at its position (or continues to slowly crawl to the top where the oldest games are) and those who want to join get the "game is full" message (meaning the game was NOT removed from the list yet). ~5 seconds is a long time to wait, almost everyone re-opens the slots right away. And then it does nothing at all. What does work though is when people rejoin (if the game seems "dead"). The moment they leave, lag may be gone and new players are more likely to be able to join.

But the most annoying b.net myth to me is this HIT f4 bullshit. Every 4/10 Korean pub I ran into, they told me to F4 to speed up the download. So annoying. I don't think that even works? I wonder where such a rumor got spread.

I wonder where such a rumor got spread. People who misunderstood what their peers telling them to press alt-f4 meant.
