I loved it last weekend in have at you! This is true everywhere... as someone's mother used to say, if you lay down for someone to walk over you, someone is still gonna complain that you aren't flat enough. The world is not always going to agree with you. However, most people love Filthy BW. Most people agree with the decisions the organizer/admins have made. But people keep blowing up and responding to the vocal minority and then the topic becomes a misconstrued crap show.

Why would i complain about your cast ? For starters, you are "newish" and its known, so expections arent through the roof in the first place (no offense). Secondly, you have a co-caster. Thirdly, the fact that you work for the community even when it was smaller then it is now gives you some credibility, contrary to what i think of Day9, who isnt, as far as im concerned, doing **** for BW, except when he can cast some big tournaments to get exposure. I have very vivid memores of the last time he did cast, and that was really, REALLY weird commentary as far as im concerned. Now, the only reason i can think off that is good about Day9 casting might be the fact that perhaps a few of his followers will watch BW and maybe 0.1 % of them will stick with the game. Also, im entitled to my own opinion, BisuDagger, right ? Im saying i would prefer a professional cast with knowledgeable casters. Its a valid opinion, even if you dont like it.

Please research the history of day9 and what he did and what he meant for the BW community. Opinions are fine, but being humble is good too, yeah? I agree 100% with Bisudagger and his assesment of Day9s upcoming co-cast. Most of us who have been around for a while have big respect for Day9. There is a reason why you know. And that is why i say: do your research, please. Edit: And what is this tournament you have very vivid memories of? Last time Day9 commentated BW was TSL2 in 2009 no? And he was INCREDIBLE. Hands down.

Why don't people like you stop complaining and throw an event on your own that exceeds expectations? FilthyRake is sponsoring these out of his own pocket expecting nothing in return. Can you at least show some gratitude? Ungrateful AF.

On another note, are there any replay packs available of the filthybw tournaments? Or any of the recent tournaments? I'm finding as someone who hasn't played bw in a long time it's very difficult to find replays...especially replay packs. I understand it's important for casters to get views...maybe we could get replays of the games that aren't on stream?

Why am I having him cast? Honestly, because he's in insanely good caster, he loves brood war, and he's a friend of mine and offered to do it. As tends to be my philosophy with any complaints regarding my tournament at this point: if you dont like it, fuck off, I dont care :D Since this is the last one of these I'm running, the number of fucks I give is at an all time low haha. Regarding double-elimination... Hmm... Will consider it! Probably have a decision on that tomorrow or thursday.

Holy crap, one time Day9 played with me in a BGH or Race Wars (can't remember) on Shieldbattery and it was a super fun experience. He even talked to me. I wish I saved the audio clips. He is a really cool guy.

I'd like to mention that iccup skill level doesn't matter so much to commentary as long as the people have good insight to the game, and are maybe just really slow players or players who can't execute the insights they have xD Bisudagger, myself, are probably like D/D+ players on iccup. EsportsJohn literally just joined the scene for BW and did excellent as a cocaster. I know you know this but some people might not haha.

I'm really glad to see Day9 cast, quite nostalgic. He had great knowledge once and it's quite easy to pick back as the game hasn't changed that much really. I've been lurking for a while and I'm excited about the revival of bw!

He has been faaar away from BW for a very long time. odds of him having anything substantial to add to the cast are slim to non-existant. Im hoping someone knowledgeable would cast. How about the guys that did cast ASL on the Afreeca-Strim ? tfw someone thinks you're more knowledgeable about BW than Day9 >.> <.<
