People can tell Filthy and I our tournaments will get "Boring" and "no one will join". K, fine. We know. We know what we're doing. SC2 and SCBW scenes are not as different as you all might think they are, source: someone who's been in both for years and years.
Whatever. I'll just report people who say the same thing and move on. Keep doing you, boo ♡

I want to make a comment on the problems I have been made aware of since I volunteered as an administrator. There has been a lot of negativity coming from the community themselves during these tournaments. When someone organizes a tournament with a nice prize pool, attracting a lot of good players, giving people a chance to compete for money, and that viewers can be entertained by to give more publicity to the foreign scene and the game, people should be happy, right? Apparently not. What appears to be the case is that this tournament brings a lot more strife to the community than joy and peace. I heard people have been complaining about Scan, the map pool, Koreans being allowed, people going afk or taking too many breaks, how bad the smash.gg system is, about prize pool distribution, and pretty much everything.
How is a tournament organizer supposed to feel about this as their first impression with the BW community? Satisifed? Rewarded? Appreciated? Happy? How should someone feel when they are dictated with harsh words on how to run their tournament by people who aren't even participating, much less people who haven't done anything for the Brood War community. It's a lot of hard work to put up a tournament like this and it seems like it's fly paper for people's constant complaining.
People think about winning. People think about the enormous prize pool. People think about their dislike of playing Scan and the Koreans. Next time let's think about the health of the community and the scene as a whole. Regardless of whether or not allowing entry to everyone including Koreans is unhealthy for competition, that is FilthyRake's choice after already being made well aware of people's concerns and it should be respected. People have to decide whether it's better to have a tournament with Koreans allowed or to have no tournament at all.
More than that, there's a problem with having good sportsmanship and being decent people to each other. We should be considerate, respectful, polite, and patient with each other. If you can't go into a match because you're gonna be busy, notify your opponent. If your opponent's been afk or is busy, be patient and wait a good amount of time before asking for help. If you really dislike how the tournament is run, no one is forcing you to play or watch. There's already a good amount on the plate on Filthy Rake and administrators, and there's no need to make the job more difficult than it needs to be.
Overall, this problem of attitude does not stretch only to a single person, it's about all of us. Already a lot of the negativity is getting to Filthy and has really made him lose motivation to host the Filthy BW Cups. At best the tournaments are going to go on for one more month at most. Moving forward, whatever the BW community wants, I hope we are satisfied with our choices and what impression we give in the end.

A good message ty2.
It's all well and good to give some criticism to the organizers of any tournament. It's another thing to constantly complain about a decision that's already been made.
Same as always, if you don't like the way a tour is being run, the community encourages you to go sponsor or organize your own.

Hey SchAmToo, but you stated that you have been on the BW scene for just 4 months, which one is the truth? years and years, or 4 months?

Ty2 is saying pretty important, people should just enjoy and be a bit more kind, the organizers have already stated that they are going to keep with the format, so why they keep making negative comments about it, and about the same topics that have already been discused. Before they started with this HaveAtYou and Filthy Cup tournaments there was non other interesting tournament in the BW foreigner scene, people should be thankful that atleast we can watch broodwar and hopefully get back the glory the foreigner scene once had

I've been casting for 4 months, I've been around BW and BW fans/players for years.
Dunno who you are, but you seem to have a vendetta against me.

You say this right after you commented on my youtube video about the matter with the same vitriol being talked about here, so which one is it?

so here is how this thing started.in the first Schamtoo tourney.everyone told organizer about the skill difference from Koreans and foreigners, and we were all telling we knew the winner of the tourney already.the organizer for a moment said something like made most of us confused since he said if it was the case he will proly change the rules.then trutacz won scan 2-1 in an official tourney.i think it was the first time? idk and i think is what really changed cuz from the we will look into it they changed to.if you dont come to tourneys we will cancel it and gg no re.obviously since many of us the top foreigners all we wanted was a fair competition we thought it was ok to complain about it.then organizers made it pretty clear that the tourneys are to support their streams, and brood war in general not just foreigner community, and that is ok,everything is explained, now there is second razor that many players are already quitting the tourney, others are giving wo vs scan and others like me are unhappy with the situation but keep playing anyway and try to get good results and training useless strats that will never let to win Scan .
The tourneys are to support BW and this is awesome, also respect for Scan that wakes up 4 am to play the tourneys, this is the reason we cant see more Koreans taking part the time is not really friendly for them. i hope it doesnt sound like im complaining again.i understood the situation and im with it.thanks again

eonzerg, I love that you play. <3 You and Trutacz are too prime examples I give people when they're looking for the top foreign Zerg talent.

For last(you can take this personal if you want) you really don't seem the kind of guy who have been around too much time, i mean your knowledge isn't that of a person who have been on the BW community for years and years. but i don't really care, i just wanted to know which one was it, since you used the word "BW scene" in both comments and you didn't specify what did you mean with that

Can you DM me what happened?

I just want to say that while Schamtoo does not run this event, and was completely un-involved in my decision to start it... it wouldnt have happened without his help.
He gave me tons of guidance, he is there casting, he helps with the admin, he does all the production... The guy is a machine, and he does it because he loves BW more than almost anyone else I know.
This is a guy who, in his casting career has done BlizzCon!
So please everyone - give him love, give him respect, and give him thanks. Even if he is a dirty Terran.

I just remembered that people were also complaining about there are no terrans(getting eliminated around at r8) and most likely sziky will win all of tours so they wanted admins to allow me in the tour. 3 top zergs were sziky trutacz and eonzerg. I forgot for top protosses. Dewalt lancerx (?) and bonyth (?) 2 top terrans, marwin and koget, right?

There are also other good zergs but we have yet to see them participating more in tournaments in order to put them on the list, like Dinot, Naugrim and g0rynich

A note to Ty2 and others: people actually don`t and can`t control emotions, only thoughts and acts. The question is would it be better if these concerns would be hidden forever?

Id lose interest in participating in this and watching this if Koreans were banned, I get raped on the first round everytime but I prefer that over getting deep inside a tournament that is made for me to get deep in.

Again, if people feel that having Scan and any Koreans ruins the whole tournament, feel free to not play or watch, no one is forcing you to. If anyone is still hung up on this tourney and can't move on with their life, I don't know what to tell you. All that I can say is that ordering people on how to run their tournaments is not a right.
