NORTH-EAST:
2 O'clock main featuring NW expansion path
Immediately, you'll notice something out of the ordinary here.
Straight out of the main, players are given an easier to defend natural than you might expect.
*****---------It can often be tough to capitalize on harass against a good opponent---------*****
With good control (vs poor defense) Reapers could pose a persistent annoyance.
===============================================================
VERTICAL Expansion paths
There are many options for a third in Cajun Quandary
The forward base facilitates aggression, but is very exposed.
Most often, you will see players take their third on the mid-ground here
*****---------before securing one of the obvious remaining expansions---------*****
Static defense never hurt anyone it wasn't intended to.
===============================================================
Cajun'sTop half:
Perspective shot
Zooming out to realize the external bases:
*****---------You may begin to speculate how haywire the late-game can play out in Cajun Quandary---------*****
Even though most people expand vertically, the late-game structure plays out drastically different each game
===============================================================

"You mean, we're going down there?!"

Theme:

----------------------------------------------------Cajun Quandary-----------------------------------------------------
=====================================================================
=====================================================================
----------------------------------------------------|||||||||||||-----------------------------------------------------
Inspiration:
This map began much differently than you see it now.
In it's current form, I estimate that Cajun is in it's 14th full iteration of a concept originally meant to completely derail the mainstream meta-game. With each revision, it became more and more difficult to convince myself that Cajun would be accepted by the community
While becoming easier to get hung up on the question of WHY, rather than the progressive HOW.
Originally, Cajun Quandary's concept began with spawns at the 10 & 4 positions, with the layout constructed fairly similarly to how you see it now, but I just couldn't proceed with the concept...
I was completely stuck...
So, looking for opinions, I decided to step back, and through some discussion, act as if I were adding main bases again: To the unused & thought-stalled corners of the map.
Then, Finally, after so many decent revisions:
The layout was formed.
Testing was positive.
And the small nuances were fleshing out.
Cajun is a very streamlined and open design now, yet it slightly changes everyone's common approach quite well. In turn I feel as if this map provides a touch of the meta alteration I had originally aimed for, while handing the players familiar material to ease them into viciously compelling battle scenarios...
So, once again
I confidently present & welcome you all
To my latest, timeless creation

After the previous images, it may become apparent that
*****---------If you wall off the natural ramp instead of the main, you pseudo-secure 4 bases!---------*****
---------------------------------------------------------
*****---------Xel'Naga watch-tower range, displayed by pylons---------*****
---------------------------------------------------------
*****---------Main to vertical third walkway---------*****
---------------------------------------------------------
*****---------Cajun's left-center (impathable) Ovie-pod---------*****
---------------------------------------------------------
*****---------The fish are rarely bothered here.---------*****
---------------------------------------------------------
*****---------South of the vertical expansions---------*****
---------------------------------------------------------
*****---------Horizontal third walk-way.---------*****
---------------------------------------------------------
*****---------Good Luck // Have Fun---------*****

Timmay: For continually having input through the entire creation process... Again!
Chronic: for play-testing and opinions throughout the entire creation process.
Clan Ckc: For each of their members contributing in one way or another to the development of Cajun
The Emb3rs/Amb3rs clans: For helping with play-testing and random exposure, as well as enjoying themselves.
Shniderbaron on twitch: for testing on stream with friends and being entertainingly tired.
My girlfriend: Cause she hasn't left me yet, though she hates how much time I spend doing all of this. lol
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
YOU: For making it through this map's bio, I hope you enjoyed yourself!
Everyone: For keeping StarCraft alive!
