This community has literally complained about anything and everything for a very, very long time. I have never seen/been a part of any other community that was just so...whiny. If Blizzard's smart, they'll listen to the communities general consensus's regarding the graphics in SC:R. Also, you could look at it like we're all very whiny, or you could look at it like we all just REALLY CARE about BW. It's all in the perspective.

Marines and Zerglings need a bit of work. Specifically, Marines seem to lack team color at some angles, and look like they are shooting in the wrong direction. Zerglings 'arms' look too pronounced. Zerglings also lack a bit of a shadow underneath them to distinguish things. Zergling building animation looks tooo different from the original one. Tanks look too small. Tank threads look too detailed. The zealot 'braid' when facing top right is too distinguished from the rest of the body. It use to look like it was almost connected to the right foot before, and now it looks off. The terrain titleset in this screenshot: http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/fif4qRAHvAj2onzHwx4NSM.jpg looks too grimy / noisy. Units should have the right amount of 'pop' against the terrain. Right now, tanks, zerglings and marines are not distinguishable enough. In the above screenshot, the marine icon just looks wrong. Unit HP in the menu for some units looks too saturated when filled in. I love the more pronounced minerals, though. They 'pop' just the right amount.

This remaster is essentially a love letter to the BW community so helping Blizzard touch up these sprites with constructive criticism is a good thing! Blizzard wants it to look right and we want it to look right! The overall feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and personally, I'm blown away by how well Blizzard has handled this....it's really amazing and I can't wait to play it.

More critique (everything just my opinion): - the font: the height, the spacing the 3... everything looks strange. The starcraft2 font looks more starcraft-like than this - the command buttons in the right bottom: why so bright and flat? I think the original style was better - badlands and char tileset are too noisy - buildings look cut out which is probably true for the original as well, but I think there is room for improvement. Something like ambient occlusion at the edge to the floor - the filled wireframe for protoss units looks too flat for my taste - the heavy breathing of the hydra den is a bit irritating

You guys are the worst community hahahaha! It's was never meant to be a brand spanking new game. It was suppose to be a simple update to better resolutions. No longer will the game feel like a gameboy video game. The matchmaking/lat/binds/anti hacks ect ect.. are the cherry on top. Honestly surprised how many of you guys are complaining about a high resolution starcraft. Holy crap! lol. Are you serious? Sitting here and judging every aspect of the game is setting yourself up for huge disappointment when it's actually released. If you really don't care or appreciate the resolution update then you can always stick to the old school graphics set up. That is probably why they made it possible for players to play between those 2 platforms.

Why do you think did they release pictures and videos that are obviously work in progress? This is our chance to give feedback about the new graphics and influence the artistic decisions.

Also it didn't say anything about sound effects whose had a pretty bad sample rate 32kz mono. I am pretty sure that they weren't sampled like that, too bad they didn't update them to a decent quality. Blizzard are you reading this? Please do something about it.

He's so involved, he MUST know what's up!!! LOL, get a grip, hoss. Pretty sure the SC:R design team likes honest feedback, and even if they somehow didn't, your trolling sure isn't a bright and shining contribution.

However, I do agree that I would prefer a grittier, less cartoonish look (it was super interesting to see someone post the original beta, and its resemblance to BW:R). The protoss explosion animation on buildings for example really stood out to me as wrong as well. I'm surprised to see a lot of very good points in this thread and hopefully the highly competent BW team will be reading this thread. I'm sure not everything mentioned here is feasible to do, but there are some really good points here, as well as on reddit, from people who seem to know graphic art / shadowing / modelling / etc. I guess by nature of having more details / high res some things are inevitable, but it would be awesome if for example the siege tank could be made to feel more robust and fearsome. I also agree with - some Zerg unit's skin color is a little too bright/needs a tad darker tone, e.g. Zergling, Hydralisk, Ultralisk (not the team coloring) - scv sparkles too bright - buttons / replay bar too bright Overall I think there are some very good points here, and I don't think people who are trying to make the BW:R look even better are 'whining'
