I opened a blog entry coz i didnt want to pollute the broodwar forum
So, im originally a protoss player, i'm currently D+ on iccup and i plan to continue playing that race....but some friends told me that i should change race to terran coz i have a terran style of playing...well you know i'm not really willing to start from the beginning again...but i wanna hear TL.net's opinion...what do you think do i need to change race ?i thought a bit about it and i like the terran race...that's why i'm indecided
P.S: my terran would probably be D- on iccup and i would probably go 0-10 streak

Just offrace vs people every now and then casually and see how you like it.

P->Tshould be easier than P->Z

What reason do you have to change races (other than a friends suggestion)?
well we should probably hear what ur friend has to say about why he thinks ur a terran style ploayer and your opinion on the matter first. and also what do you think are your strengths and weaknesses in your playstyle. we do not know u. we can only say protoss is like this and terran is like that. and that won't help u as much. u already know that much info.
well....he said that i'm too passive....and that that would perfectly fit playing terran....that's it, naturally i can try playing terran but is it worth? i dont have nerves to waste another amount of time to learn the basis
m... even tho u may be passive, terrans still require a lot more apm and microing for battles. so i'm guessing u mena passive in the general sense like turtling and tending not to attack? it's really hard to help u out here man.
as long as ur having fun, go for it. mastering another race can be rewarding. plus it's not like ur an A/B player with your first race is it?

that's for sure. individual production buildings making certain types of ujnits is more similar P-T. i can't stand that so that's why i'm a zergy.

nah i'm D+ with toss...but i'll try to play sometimes with terran altrought i tried it and tanks are so pimp
about that being passive...yes i tend not to attack...i just mass and mass...but that would be good if my macro was awesome but unfortunately it isn't
i can only say, practice and just get better =/
well.thanks...i thought a bit and decided that the best thing would be to keep playing toss..
maybe ur friend's p and he doesn't want massive pvps.
I think it would be interesting to just keep playing protoss with your 'terran style' spin on it. It is nice to have a 'style' that is different then the norm, makes for interesting games, well, at least for your opponents.
nah he is random but his best race is zerg
and he is A iccup ~_~ that's why his statement worried me
How many random A iccupers are there? I'm guessing we have narrowed it down to about 3 people just now.
I wish I was an A random rather than a terrible, terrible, toss...
Other than the very early game, I don't see how Terrans have a passive playstyle at all. If you're playing passively as a T, the other two races are going to out-expand you quite quickly. I think this is a general problem, which cannot be overcome simply by changing your race.
