What I am wondering is, whether Free forgot to research recall and only noticed it when he already went in the Terrans main because that arbiter sacrifice was really weird. He also didn't use stasis and I could imagine, that it wasn't done at the crucial time because the recall research had to finish first.

It's UMS, that means the Forces are named by the map maker, not by BroodWar. So this is a misspelling on this particular map.
