This month I have logged over 5 days of stream time. That is about 20% of time this month, roughly. If you can find me somebody who can cast with me this frequently, I'd be amazed. Then if you do you have to realize that nobody invests that amount of time for free. One cast here one cast there maybe you can get someone to do something for free and spare some time -- but I don't think anyone with common sense is going to work for free. It's all well and good saying "well get a guest!" but there's only so many times you can do this without exhausting options. Anyone that would be willing to do that for free, is probably desperately trying to get into the scene and hence is probably not very skilled as well which would bring the quality of the casting down. So if you can find someone who can spare this much time, be good at casting and also find a way to more or less double my income, then you might be onto something. I also cast so much and so many events because I find it easy and stress free to cast on my own. Solo casting is so much easier than co-casting it's insane. When you co-cast you have to put in the energy to have chemistry with your partner, listen to what they are saying, respond to them, initiate conversations, jokes and so on. You have to coordinate with them. Then when you are on a break you aren't really on a break because you are still with them. With that last paragraph in mind, providing we already tick all those boxes which are very hard to tick, whoever it is has to be someone I get on with very well and can get on with / cast with to a high standard. I've co-cast a lot of times in the past (you might not have known me back then) and there are very few people who I genuinely enjoyed it with and who I put on a good show with. There are some other reasons about not having a co-caster but I feel I've said enough to justify my point. If I found someone who was a match and who I think would genuinely improve the quality of the content I'm putting out and it was feasible to have them join me, then I would have. It's not just some ego/selfish thing that I want to solo cast. I know people like co-casts, but sometimes you have to look past what you enjoy to what is actually realistic by looking at it from my angle. Sorry for what might be a slightly passive-aggressive tone, but I get asked this a lot and it's a bit frustrating that some people just immediately decide that my content is awful because I'm solo-casting (not saying that you guys are, but this is the opinion of some people I've heard in the past.) | ||
