What's stopping mafia from loading as well, exactly? What incentive is there for mafia to not load if everyone else is loading? And how exactly would we prove that mafia fired? | ||

Though still if we agree that everyone loads, and every townie does, it leaves mafia back to shoot especially if you see 2 townies dying.Though still we are left with 4 townies who have 8 shots and 2 mafia who has no shot, this is advantageous to town, no? More likely we bring mafia to the game too by having them load, but then we have 6 townies with 12 shots and 2 mafia with 4 shots, I still think in such a game it favours the mass. | ||

But consider this, if we don't misshoot, mafia needs at least 5 turns to win: shoot, load, shoot, load, shoot. Successfully defending one or two shots can drag this out to 6 turns for mafia to win, while we'd only need to hit two of them somewhere in between, killing one of them basically doubles the remaining time for them to win, if we don't misshoot. I'm stressing this "don't misshoot" because we don't have lynch mechanism to balance it out, so we have to be extra careful when shooting someone. | ||

#1 priority for town should still be to hunt for scum. #2 is figuring out how best to use mechanics to our advantage. If town is able to identify scum then the possibility of being shot will prevent scum from shooting as they will be forced to defend. This will effectively prevent mafia from having KP and will buy town time to continue discussing things. There are only 2 real situations in which I see this game being a cluster for town. -If everyone acts alone and shoots whomever they feel like we could very well end up with half the game dead -Everyone decides to shoot the same person and town wastes most if not all our cannonballs The first situation is the one I am most afraid of, and is why I feel town needs to be organized this game. As for why I included the statement about loading my cannon. Simply a choice I made about how I want to approach this game, not at all something I recommend for anyone else to do. Obviously it is best to keep your action a secret until after the phase is over, however we should all freely discuss our actions after the fact to help us determine if there are any inconsistencies with the ball count (indicating mafia tried to pull something). | ||

How does everyone feel about just defending tonight? Prevents anyone from being killed so town gets more time to try and look for scum. Mafia would probably load up which isn't great but they can still only shoot once per night so it's not that bad either. Thoughts? | ||
