The StarLeague will be rescheduled if necessary to accomodate the players attending both Katowice and NSSL. |

Nobody can argue that this isn't among the most stacked lineups imaginable but somehow there's usually more hype with the "can Snute/Scarlett/Bunny do well in a stacked tournament?" storyline (even though the answer is almost always 'no (s)he gets 3-0ed in the first round')
Agree, and that's why I'm missing Naniwa, hoping he will get back in full force :-)

Not quite summer yet so winner should be Life. Or Maru. But probably Life.

Because he's as good as your average retired player, you mean?

It'll be Life, Maru, Innovation or hero.

Am I the only person wondering what they are going to do about GSL and Starleague scheduling conflicts?

Each of the top bracket matches is more interesting and more even than the bottom ones lol, besides maybe Dark/Taeja
|
Let's only preview the groups:
(P)herO > (T)Cure: herO is literally on another level right now. Yesterday in Proleague, he literally beat a GSL champion. And before that? He beat an OSL champion and SC2's highest earner. I am not sure herO can be stopped right now. Maybe there will be someone in this tournament who can beat him. That person is probably Life since herO has shown weakness to Life before in the GSL. I think there will be a semifinals between Life and herO, where Life will win 3-0. But herO still had a good run.
(T)Bbyong > (Z)Solar: Well...here we go. Solar is in a slump. That's it. He was Samsung's ace and then he suddenly started to perform not well. Did the fame get to his head? Who knows what happened? To add to this, Bbyong managed to defeat Life yesterday. Life. The best Zerg to ever have touched a mouse and play Starcraft II. If Bbyong can manage to beat a player 20 levels above him, he can beat a player who fell from grace like Solar.
(P)Zest > (Z)Hydra: Although Zest is in a career defining slump that no other player has ever experienced before, Hydra still ditched Korea or America therefore his practice partners are not as good as they can be in his home country. This will probably be one of the closes PvZ series in this game because on one hand, we have a player spiraling down from the top in rapid pace. On the other hand, we have a player who left his own country to try to get some free cash, but will sacrifice better practice partners for this. I will place my words on Zest.
(Z)Life > (T)INnoVation: So, Life lost to Bbyong. The world champion lost to a player who has no championships, but do cause upsets from time to time. I guess since it was a Bo1, he did not care that much. Innovation is still a very great player. He is doing very well these days and had the best Proleague ratio last round. This one will be close and tough for both players, but I think Life and win. But who knows...he lost to Bbyong so this shows that he is vulnerable to Terran. I think that Innovation is better than Life, so we will see how this pans out. But I am still going for Life.
(T)Flash > (P)Trap: Yesterday we saw the beginning of the end. The beginning of the end for pretty much all SC2 players. Yesterday, we saw Flash start his recovery towards dominance. He defeated Byul, a top 5 Zerg player. If anyone saw Flash's game yesterday, you would know what I am talking about. He completely destroyed him. Flash is on the rise and it seems that he can't be stopped. He is on the bottom bracket so I am sure that it will be Flash vs. Life in the finals. After seeing Flash's game vs. Byul, I think he can beat Life in the finals should he reach it. I am not saying that Trap is a bad player, he has not been very active lately so he might beat Flash, but I doubt it. Flash is just too good these days.
(P)Rain > (T)FanTaSy: Both of these players have been pretty quiet. Rain is that solid and safe player that anyone can count on winning. Fantasy is that crazy dropping Terran that wins sometimes. I think Rain can win this one just by defending against Fantasy's multiple drop style. Rain is really good at defense. Rain is an OSL champion and knows what it takes to win on the big stages. Fantasy has not found his calling in SC2 yet.
(T)Maru > (P)Patience: Yes Maru is in a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiig slump right now. He lost to Parting, herO and the ever slumping Dear. But all of those players are champions on big stages, so the losses are kind of understandable, even for the former best Terran in the world like Maru. Patience has been quiet, and like all quiet players, may cause an upset, but I am sure that Maru will win without dropping a set.
(T)TaeJa < (Z)Dark: Ah Taeja how you have fallen from being to the top, to being a mere good Korean Terran. You did not even make it in GSL and NSL. Dark? Well for a few weeks, he was the best Zerg in the world hands down. He was unstoppable in every single match up, especially ZvT. So, we have not seen much of these players much. The last game we saw from Dark was yesterday vs. Myungsik and he easily won. That does not determine much. Although Dark has not been playing up to his potential these days, he is still good enough to beat a Taeja who has broken wrists and pretty much given up on SC2 because he will do that mandatory Korean military service anyways. But let's hope for good games at least.
