for next time i coach town: how to help my students not get bandwagoned at eod? happened to BOTH of them lmao Rsoultin's issue literally was imo not reading/thinking. Like I explained 4-5-6-7 different things 4-5-6 different times and it never took. Like how Trfel could be mafia and not a good D1 lynch.
Also, FWIW, I don't like the Trfel check. I think that there were many other better checks at that point and Trfel was easily catchable. Next, don't fucking claim a check with the first post in a day. It literally makes the day like 90% worthless.

She has good reads but she is bad at convincing people ITT and her arguments don;t make sense all the time so she never had the thread sway to get her reads lynched even though she had the biggest filter.
She did have good reads though.

tbh i don't think i would have caught shining... lmao
that sounds awful, but i liked rsoultin's reasoning for him being town, and i probably would have given him a pass if he hadn't tried to solve the game at 4p and lynched whichever of the other 3 tried the least hard

I had a feeling we were losing the game once lm dies gag, and I knew my heuristic was bad on do but it was getting attacked for the wrong reason and I got stubborn bah

No you were right. I was surprised anyone caught on to that honestly. Urgh i need to push stuff harder. Honestly i want to apologize to town mostly geript damdred and RSo i could have played much better No you're fine. I just quit caring on D4. Like I was tired of trying to explain reads and have no one listen to them.

I'm going to make two general comments. This is not directed at any one person, but at the general gameplay of town.
1 There was a lot of tunnelling this game. The amount of it I saw all game was astounding. Something some of you need to reconsider in future games. 2 The anti-newbie/anti-vet bias. Having played Student IV, the relative newbies do legitimately fear a world where the scumteam are all vets. Rasputin stated valid reasons for townreading the newbies as opposed to the vets, and I think that had a lot to do with some of the tunnelling going on.
No I didn't play this game, but those were the two things that jumped out at me, given my own experience playing Student IV (as VT) and Newbie LX (as scum) with some of the playerbase here.

I'm sorry I stopped playing basically after the mod kill for awhile I won't make excuses but I sucked simply

absolutely agreed about the cop check, i was going to bring that up when i reposted something from the coach qt

Like objectively, DP's probably easier. But Shining's posts this game were so trash compared to his newbie game. Like the thought process in between was different. Like I had 5 good separate reasons for wanting to lynch him.

eh i was waffling on him as scum. just knew i couldnt lynch dp. its super hard to articulate feelings like wth is dp only atracking me all game and translate that into scum others would understand

There were also a lot of points of time in which I was trying to lynch him. So i think the distance was enough that we still would have won if I flipped scum.

Oh yeah, also: Coaches and students are invited to share their Coaching QTs with the thread. These resources can help future games.

I can see why LS did the check, but I would have to agree with Geript. The check itself I can understand but the claim IMO was not a good play.

Like rs you were a bit to paranoid and the amount of hard defending made me go crazy and just lunch into yall

She did have good reads though. this seems like a fair assessment. imo from my time coaching newer players in my irl circle and building that group up, i feel like you need either to show some talent at convincing people or show talent at reading people as a newer player to be successful. whichever one you have, you can develop until you're really good at it, and you can learn the other one through playing more
i'm optimistic because she's got a strong base in her reading people, and learning to convince other players comes easily enough with time if you give it an honest effort i think

I note a lot of anti- scum sentiment from one of the co-hosts in the obs thread.
|
yeah well...most of my town reads were good and it happens all the time, lynching ls or jjb or ww

I thought you guys played great! I was just noting that town was totally capable of winning right to the end
