Finally, I can continue my blog after the sports tryouts! Currently I'm 30-24, and I got to C- as a 20-9. I am really bordering on the C- level, but mainly it's because yesterday I was playing absolutely HORRENDOUSLY! I lost 11 games and only won 3. Every single time I played a game my speed went down, I had less morale and my mechanics/play just overall decreased the more I lost. So I decided to quit there and then play today. Today I'm doing much much better. I don't know if yesterday I was having a bad day or because it was late that there were better players on. Here's 6 games I've chosen, 3 I lost and 3 I won. I chose the 3 I won because it's extremely annoying when ZvP on Tau Cross they block the natural, but generally they feel they are safe and are either too nooby/didn't scout or something and you can take advantage of their holes in the gameplay.
I feel that the three games I lost were mainly due to decision making problems, mechanics problems and multitasking. I starting slowing down. In one game, I didn't scout properly and went the wrong way while he came to rape my expansions. Then I rushed back and had the worst flank ever, and he had excellent storms due to my mistake. Another game I kept getting too greedy and lost my huge advantage. My ZvT must get improved if I want to get C, I always get a huge advantage and lose it later in the game.
WINS: Game 1: ZvP This game my opponent did the block, and left his probe inside. His probe made some cannons and 2 gates, so he was able to pressure me, but it wasn't too hard to fend off. He did do a nice job splitting up his army to get my drones and sunken, fortunately for me he didn't get any drones and only managed to kill my sunken. + Show Spoiler +Zealots were split to kill my drones This whole time I had been researching drop and the hydralisk upgrades, and I broke out of the pylon block. From there I slow dropped over the wall and targetted + destroyed his main nexus, as well as a few reavers that had just come out. + Show Spoiler +Focusing on the main nexus Poor reaver Then I went behind his minerals where it was unprotected, sniped his probes and it was GG. + Show Spoiler +
Game 2: ZvP This game my opponent doesn't actually even use the pylon block, he cancels it! I cancelled my hatchery and made a proxy hatchery (lol) inside his base. + Show Spoiler +This is a great move if you want to humiliate someone. I think it'd work better if they wasted minerals on their pylon block with cannons, but still, I added some sunkens and took out his main nexus, then proceeded to go for upgraded hydras to take out the rest of his base. + Show Spoiler +
Game 3: ZvP Again, the pylon block. I take a secret expansion and do the hydra/drop tech again. He pressures with 2 zealots and I only have 4 lings, so I lose a few drones as he brings more. He almost takes out one of my hatcheries but I saved it just in time. + Show Spoiler +I have a slight suspicion this guy was hacking, because all of a sudden for no reason he sent 12 zealots at my secret expansion. + Show Spoiler +Why did he randomnly send these zealots here -_- I kept dropping, preventing him from expanding. He killed my first drop, but then I did a bigger drop and he got weaker and weaker until I killed his main nexus and destroyed the rest of his army. + Show Spoiler +
LOSSES Game 1: ZvP The guy does a 6 gate speedzeal +1 build. + Show Spoiler +I thought I had adequately prepared for it with 2.5 ctrl groups of lings and 3 lurkers, but he came with his +1 about 20 seconds earlier than mine, dominated my lings and ran past my lurkers. + Show Spoiler +
Game 2: ZvP This is a very good look at my bad decision making. All three of these games I had very bad macro in cases where I have much better macro, but this one was about decision making and scouting as well. If I had scouted his army position better, I would have known that he was coming to attack my expansion. I was sending my units in the exact opposite spot. + Show Spoiler +Look at the minimap and the army positions. As soon as I saw him, I rushed back and had no time to prepare a good flank, so he stormed excellently and killed my army easily. + Show Spoiler +Beautiful storms on a badly positioned army. These are situations where a queen with parasite could come in handy for me(read the queen thread in strategy forum).
Game 3: ZvP This guy was good. Even though I exploited his FE placement and had a good advantage, he still beat me quite easily. + Show Spoiler +Going around his cannons to kill probes Everytime I looked away from my base, I came back to find all my drones destroyed! I thought I had killed the 3 dark templars that he dropped into my base, but then he hid all 3 and all of them in total got more than 40 kills I think. It was crazy. This was one of my last games so I wasn't playing very well and even losing all my drones I still had tons of surplus, but this guy was good at multitasking and I kept not killing the DTs in my base. Anytime we got into a battle or something, DTs would pop all my drones. + Show Spoiler +The dark templars that started it all
Overall I'm disappointed at myself for my performance but I know I can do better, I just need more practice. Of course I still need much help on ZvT, so I really need a tutor/trainer for that and if anyone is out there that's willing please tell me PM me if you want replays or something -_- I think I can get C this season, right now I'm about 3500 so as long as I can keep about 50% win record I think it's C for me

11 losses in a row is pretty bad but even worse is playing a 42 minute PvZ at B level on Python and winning for +100.. only to play the next game on python and losing (-100), therefore making the 42 minute game completely worthless.

Unless you play to get better, or to actually have some fun.

You can 12 hatch 11 pool -> with your 8th or 9th drone go to the choke, than 10th drone + ovy head towards choke.
Use those two and the ovy on hold to keep probe from placing pylon there.
send a 3rd probe to 12 hatch - move through the other two using the minerals.
Just watch for cannons behind the minerals at the actual expo, and you should be fine to head into a 3 hatch / 4 hatch build
I've seen you in the C channel btw !

Well, I do use the hold pos with overlord to stop pylon placement, but I put it there at 12 supply and sometimes they pylon it before that. Generally I don't care too much though, as I have 100% win against that so far on iCCup.

On ICCUP I'm always paranoid about cheese and 12pool a lot, and I never get cheesed anymore so I'm always behind
