2014-12-31: Due to bonus pool display bugs on Bnet web profiles new DB file (20.3) was released that locks EU, NA, SEA and CN data. The MMR tool server is currently down and thus MANUAL INSTALLATION IS REQUIRED
You can download the DB file version 20.3 from: http://www.mediafire.com/download/9n58txudu1rrb0z/bnet_20_3.zip
Your current DB file version is shown at the top of the main log of the MMR tool. You can install the new DB by unzipping the downloaded packet to following folder: [PATH_TO]\Sc2gears\User content\Plugin file cache\mmr.plugin.MMRPlugin\
Please note that the Sc2gears should be closed when you install the DB file. When you restart it, the new file will be loaded (you can check the version number from the main log).
Information regarding the bonus pool display bug can be found: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewpost.php?post_id=23501894

1) not sure if its after db update but now i get FATALERROR Versionchecker: failed in log.
2) i also have a problem with my points. the graph after some games (it has happened 3 or 4 times) seems to jump over 100 pints with no apparent reason. im sure i havent been playing unranked games with mmr tool closed. on the image you can see i have about 420 mmr rating - just few games before i had it about 640. it lowered my mmr 3 times and jumped up once (few games after jumping down). not sure what to make of this.
thanks in advance !!

Play games + follow the thread if manual updates are needed. When the server is back up the DB updates become automatic once again. But I will inform that separately when it happens.

Ladders were supposed to be locked last night, but I will not yet release a new DB as the bonus pool display bug is still there. At least NA profiles still randomly give either current bonus pool or bonus pool that was locked one week too early. Thus no good games possible and data will be used as estimate data.
The latest DB that requires manual installation can be found here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewpost.php?post_id=23502161

What happens if I sometimes play a ranked game without having SC2 gears open? Does that fuck everything up or it okei?
Thanks in advance =)

Thanks in advance =) Sort of, but it recovers in time. There are two types of match data: 1) "good games" are matches from your MMR could be calculated. These are quite rare in some MMR ranges, but quite frequent in some MMR ranges. These fix your rating. 2) "estimate games" for these games your MMR is estimated by using average MMR changes per game and are based on older 'good game'. The average change is 16 MMR points either direction based on if you win or lose. Thus if there are missing games, they cause 16 points inaccuracy to either direction depending on their results. The next 'good game' will fix the rating, but some of the older estimate games in the graph will remain incorrect.
Thus I would recommend to keep the tool always on when you play. But if you miss couple of games you can calculate yourself the inaccuracy. If e.g. you lost 5 unrecorded games that means your MMR is now roughly 5 x 16 = 80 points lower than shown in the tool. But in those cases you should keep playing with the tool on as it fixes the rating later when gets suitable data.
You can graphically view the 'good games' via 'Config' > 'Data' > 'Mark assumptions / bad games' > 'Save&Exit'.
Question: How do 'good games' affect the MMR graph? Which 'estimate games' each 'good game' affects? Answer: Here is how 'good games' affect the graph: 'X', 'Y' and 'Z' are 'good games' and '-' estimate games. x, y, z are parts of the graph affected by the good games. ------X---------------Y---------Z------
xxxxxxXyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyYzzzzzzzzzZzzzzzz
-- Edit: It is also possible that a 'good game' is based on invalid data due e.g. data errors. This usually causes a considerable spike upwards or downwards. For example if X and Y are correct and comparable but Z incorrect, you would see a spike after Y (all estimate games that Z affects). These errors are quite rare, but still happen sometimes.

Any chance for an update of the DB?

On January 09 2015 01:32 trace666 wrote: Any chance for an update of the DB? 2015-01-08: DB file (v 20.4) for ladder lock period is now available. It requires MANUAL INSTALLATION!
You can download the DB file version 20.4 from: http://www.mediafire.com/download/d595js0wwjbq2m2/bnet_data_20_4.zip
When you restart it, the new file will be loaded (you can check the version number from the main log, note that it will also say that version checker failed one row later, but that is not serious - it just cannot reach the server to check what is the latest file).
Blizzard had display error regarding the bonus pool earlier this week and thus publishing the new DB file was delayed. The bonus pool display bug seems to have been recently fixed (I checked either late Tue or early Wed last time) and now it was possible to release a new DB file that unlocks new MMR tool data ('good games' are possible once again).
The final bonus pools for Season 20 (S4/2014) were for all servers:
master, grandmaster: 1465 diamond, platinum, gold, silver, bronze: 850
Please note that after the season changes a new DB file that will likely also need manual installation will be released. Until then this new DB file should be used. It is also likely that it will take several days for Blizzard to get the profiles updated for season 21 after that.

Thanks! much appreciated.

2015-01-11: DB file (v 21.0) for start of new season 21 (s1/2015) is available. It requires MANUAL INSTALLATION, but it should not be installed before S21 has started on your home server
You can download the new DB file version 21.0 from (use this after the new season has started): http://www.mediafire.com/download/64iee042z0tovq9/bnet_data_21_0.zip
Old DB file (v 20.4), which should be used until the season 21 starts, is available from: http://www.mediafire.com/download/d595js0wwjbq2m2/bnet_data_20_4.zip
When you restart it, the new file will be loaded (you can check the version number from the main log, note that it will also say that version checker failed one row later, but that is not serious - it just cannot reach the server to check what is the latest file).
The new DB locks new MMR tool data (no new good games are possible). This is due it always takes several days for Blizzard to update the web profiles to the new season. Also after that web profiles have been unstable for several days regarding bonus pool at start of 3 previous seasons. After everything is updated and stable a new DB will be published.
Edit: As s21 has already started I disable the old link

The webserver is down for the time being. Scroll a bit to find a manual download for the updated database file.

2015-01-13: Bnet web profiles have problems regarding season switch. New DB file will be released when things have been fixed
Both EU and NA profiles are suffering from bonus pool display issue that has been a problem at start of 3 previous seasons. Usually it takes days before they are fixed. Thus the new MMR tool data will be marked as 'bad' (can be used as estimate data) until a new DB file can be published. Also NA web API was down earlier (may still be).
Remember that you should have manually updated the DB file at the start of this season. Instructions are available from: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewpost.php?post_id=23563468
