even blizzard (you have to buy SC2 3 times :D) or valve (L4D as a beta for L4D2) are guilty of the same

Fuck it's not hacked yet. And because of the Dragonage2 failure I don't trust Bioware enough anymore to buy it before checking it Guess I'll have to wait :/

I am playing from my couch, so I am using a controller and its fine. You only need to tell people to cast spell on special creatures every once an a while and your mages are pretty good about shielding you and give you buffs. The potion system is pretty great as well, since you only have a limited number, there is no potion spam. The combat kinda reminds me of the Witcher a little bit, where you set up your heroes before the fights and then rock monster's worlds.
The review bombing is over blown and a lot of the stuff seems to be people upset that the game isn't Divinity, Original Sin or Pillars of Eternity with a 50 million dollar budget. Its bed time now, but I will report more later. seems like button mashing and not tactical combat to me. If you put in on normal, the game is pretty easy and you can do that. I have it on hard and have told my mage to stop casting his ice spell until I tell him, so I can get off the combo between him and my main character every time. I also have a good bull rush ability that gives me armor(extra HP in the form of a barrier) and knocks people down. I think there are rogue abilities that combo off of knock down too, which I hope to get. If you are seeing people mash through combat, they likely have it on normal, where you just need to make sure you don't lose to much health. But if you just wanted another DAO with new content, this game isn't for you. You can't potion spam or just healing spam your way through a fight. The combat is fast and more kinetic, the potion system is more like dark souls and you are not carrying around like 80 of them(which always seemed silly, your heroes carrying around a pharmacy). I'm enjoying the story so far, but I want to get deeper in. Also I wandered to far in one of the open areas and got rocked by a dragon, so there is that.
Maybe tactical is required for hard difficulty but the tactical UI seems to be TERRIBLE with camera issues. And playing tactical with a controller doesn't seem very attractive. (From what I've seen).
Anyway I'll see what other TLer are saying. Maybe people should also state how they found DA2. Since if you liked it we clearly don't have the same tastes as I would rate that game a fair 4/10.

My abilities are off cool down so much that I want to use them anyways.
Also, Mages are dope. Their travel abilities look so awesome in game and their spells look amazing. Almost regretting playing the fighter, almost.

i think ill buy tomorrow, i hope the combat isnt too braindead.

Lets start by saying that 4 games falls into the "barren" category, quality might be great, but quantity its none
And considering one is a rerelease with just extra content (which original game was released almost 10 months ago) and the other is just an "enhanced edition" of a game
i stand that "RPG scene is barren"

I'm a diehard RPG fan,was raised with the likes of baldur's gate and stuff.I absolutely loved DA:O,hated DA2.Bought DA:I on ps4 yesterday.Im like 10 hours in it and its a blast. Not sure why ppl are hating hard on this game, its simply amazing. The controls are smooth, the tactical camera is awesome, never had any problem with it.The story so far is mediocre but the gameplay and the huge areas and all the things u can do makes up for it. If u liked DA:O its a must for you Cheers.

People that hate it are PC folks because the keyboard + mouse controls are beyond retarded.

simple rule: DLC at release = screw this game and wait till its out as complete edition for 5 Dollar or less. And yes I mean dollar not Euro. 5 Euro are way to much for such a company

Googled this for 2minutes and it's been shown to not be true...

You have to sell your ssd to be able to afford it

You can rebind some keys but not all. On top of that there is no auto-attack, so you need to spam click your mouse like you were playing Diablo to attack your enemy. There is no auto-run key, there is no take all key when looting. You can't move while holding down both mouse buttons (like in WoW) which is much needed in these kinds of combat where you need to spam your abilities which are key-bound; WoW players know what I am talking about here. The view in tactical mode is poorly implemented also. There is no locked-on feature during combat so if your character is melee, and your target is constantly moving like the majority of the enemies are in this game, you need to use WASD movement keys plus 1 2 3 4 -ability keys plus constantly spam clicking R or your mouse.
So basically the PC port is not built for humans but built for octopuses.

That sounds horrible. Is there auto-attacks on console version? I feel like I should just keep playing origins if its as bad as it seems.

there's no auto attack but you can hold the button down in both the pc and console versions the world is good, the plot is good, but the gameplay and filler quests are straight from a mid 2000s MMO
