I saw really disapointed things about this in the last couple of minutes, apparently Blizzard has a deal with megablocks for this kind of toys from blizzard universe making things really difficult for lego to bring this project to reality even if we get past 10000.
i don't think lego will endorse a tank. It may be awesome for us starcraft fan, but it's still selling a model tank, from a company that refused for many years to sell green blocks for fear that people would make military stuff with it. I don't think the tank has the same fantasy/space stuff disconection from reality that a battlecruiser has, for example. So even though i'm terran, i'll be more confortable with lego doing protoss stuff, that are further away from actual weaponery

Yeah. Deathstar - fine. Tank - bad.
The main problem would be licensing from ActiBlizzard.
No thank you, making a model of an unit that everyone laughs at (with a legitimate reason ) is pretty much what people would call as "BM". So, NO, thank you.
Maybe, if it was Brood War siege tank, well ... that's a complete opposite story.

as long it is sci-fi I think there is no problem of having it as a lego product I think, they have stormtroopers, they had english soldiers of 18th century and warship also, no I think lego has a clear politic against "actual" military vehicule/people. When it is fantasy it is fine.

well I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as a siege tank in real life, so I think that sci-fi unit from a sci-fi video game would count as science fiction.

what i said is that there is actual tanks, that model is not that fair away from real life to be understodd as fantasy by the average non-gamer person
