Also he is not in shape to really help in Proleague. If he dropped from University and focused 100% on SC2 than maybe, but I don't think it would be a smart move.

wait wait wait... MVP is getting too big, wouldnt there be a financial problem? i dont mean to sound negative, but we've seen this before in the sc2 scene.. i hope mvp is making a calculated move into this and would have to drop any of these fan favorite players in the near future

Is it really "lucky" if the only aspect of MVP that carries on is its name?

So IM is dead? One of the best team ever(solo achivements) just died?
Did I miss something or has there been rumours about this?

Wow. Great news. MVP is going to be much more competitive in proleague next year. I was hoping to see them announce a corporate sponsor, but it is looking less and less likely. They are probably much more stable now, after Phoenix's run up to TI4.
Can I assume IM is disbanding now? Lucky can't split in 5 and make a team.

@mongmong According to the article I linked as a source, the former MVP players (DRG, Keen etc.) have left the team and choya has become the head coach of the SC2 team of MVP. MVP is also currently recruiting more players to play in proleague

They are all gone. You take DRG's twitter name change, which, as we all know, really is indicative of team departure - and look at the strength (or cost $) of all the players listed as a new roster, including the potential extra players they might use to fill out their pro league roster. MVP is dead. They're simply avoiding sharing that fact, or the grittier details of it, because we're talking about a business, with sponsors. It is rather amusing, though, that they are trying to be sly about that at all. As if anyone who is a fan of MVP isn't going to notice that everything they were actually a fan of is gone. Only the derpiest sense of fandom would commit to MVP simply for the sake of the name.

imo it would be silly of them to kick players like Super and DRG

About Choya and Leenock switching to MVP....what does it mean for Prime?! Will they even compete in next proleague? Maybe they pick up some of the "thrown out" MVP members.... I agree with the people before that MVP without DRG Keen etc just isn't MVP anymore though....

You don't seem to know that IM is like the worst team in team leagues. And MVP has just assimilated that team, while getting rid of its own, which, while not the best team, was certainly a better performer than IM was in team leagues. Every team is.

Just stop it man....put DRGthezerg in your sig and be done with it...

wondering whats with drg super keen bilowy is gonna be..

I dont see the point of rebuilding if it is adding inferior/washed-out players and mercs. Just look at the mess called IM last season.
The current roster of MVP is fine and more than capable of cracking top5. They just need better coaching, practice and one solid star player (which I doubt theres any in the market right now except Trap)

Someone should say it: LIVE GAEM? SC2 LIVE?

Now if we can just get EG to send Jaedong back to Korea to play for a proleague team...

This was true a long time ago but IM won the last GSTL they participated in and if you look at their match and game records this last season of SPL played MUCH better than MVP did. Of course much of that was due to ByuL, who is on CJ now.
If it really is the case that all of MVP's old roster (particularly DRG and Super) are gone and are being replaced with the players listed in the OP, I think they've gotten worse, not better. With the exception of HerO, every player listed there is someone who has not been a "top" player since WoL.
