The outfit squads and platoons I run with sometimes suffer a real lack of medics so I feel like I should be playing it more but I'm much happier as Heavy Assault / Engineer / MAX / Infiltrator (if the squad doesn't have one already)

Thank good i really like playing the class. Throw a revivegranande in the right spot and you feel like a necromancer :D And I almost certed it out, only missing second leven c4 and the last level of nanoweave. I also like the medic guns (for vanu that is)

Especially in our public platoon we usually place more focus on having good spawns rather than going for squad compositions that we can't really enforce with 80% randoms. You could try playing offensive medic with a GR-22 though. They aren't called Combat Medics for nothing, Assault Rifles are actually incredibly powerful and once all enemies are dead, you can start reviving for bonus XP It's not a playstyle suited for competitive play, but well, it's live, in this chaos noone cares anyways You should still get revive grenades, grenade bandolier and maxed out medic tool because you can farm certs like crazy in a huge bio lab zerg fight. My personal favorite recently is HA with the NC6 Gauss SAW, which some people like to call the GodSAW. At the beginning I always had trouble handling it so I tended to use the EM1 or EM6, which are a lot easier to handle. Now that I have a lot of experience and know how to use it, the Gauss SAW is simply amazing.

The SAW is amazing, but it excels in defensive situations I feel. First thing I auraxiumed in this game. On offense, I certed the LA1 Anchor LMG and that one is much more flexible and can actually hit something smaller than a barn when hipfiring, a characteristic that is important on offense I feel ^^ The GR-22 is a beast on the medic but not very stable, i.e. great in buildings / CQC. The free gun from the "summerreward" (NS-11P) is slightly better at greater ranges (~30m +). If you actually care about shooting enemies as medic that is. I know I do. Also, found this.

240 vs 240 on Hossin with the new resource system changes. I recommend everyone, even non Planetside 2 players, to check it out because it's a lot of fun to watch it and INI's Fara is a great caster - though I'm not 100% sure he'll cast it because his outfit has both an air and a ground squad assigned. The match will be broadcasted on twitch.tv/inicast either way. Also, guess who's leading all 240 Miller players.

[edit] Well, that was kind of very little content for a posting. So... I won't be playing, but maybe sitting on TS & watching the stream. Hopefully this goes better than the last one

While it happens on the publicly accessible PTS since SOE doesn't support it more than occasionally in name, anyone who isn't assigned to the battle by the server representatives in coordination with participating outfits should stay out of it and there will be a fun police teamkilling anyone who doesn't wear the server's outfit tag. There will be trolls and randoms fighting for/against either side, there always are, but it's not a public battle, it's an organized 240 vs 240 and every single player has already been handpicked by the outfits and at least Miller doesn't offer a public squad in this match (we did in the past and might do again in the future, but there was no space for it this time). If you still want to be on the battlefield, you can join the fun police and help clear out anyone interfering with the match. The organizers just made a public announcement for the match: http://www.reddit.com/r/Planetside/comments/2ao10b/serversmash_auraxians_prepare_yourselves_for/
