This norm is not proper group play. It's a mini bracket where player A can get kicked in the balls by Zest, beat player B - who did not have to play Zest at all - head-to-head over two series but still go out because he lost the second one. That is the not so cool part of it.

MLG gave it such a bad name that I can't get over it. I mean, they made it carry through from the groups. The groups!

The playing someone twice problem is an argument for extended series or some other advantage for the earlier winner, not for round robin.

I'm thinking about just throwing random pieces on the ground, I don't think there is a more painful way to lose a fight.
