Also, I think it is good that he was not informed until after the games - they are his career, and to stay successful (sigh...) and keep earning money you can't let stresses get in the way of work. Of course it had to come in as soon as possible, but it's for the better to not put that stress on him before he enters a game. I'd just GG each round when I spawn if I found out about that pre-game, and if I did play I'd suck miserably. And what would that do for him as a player? Even if people understand his predicament, it doesn't affect the numbers behind work and gaming.
