Quantic Gaming
The past few months have been riding the winds of change for Quantic. From ESWC as Monkey Business to The Defense's opening rounds under the SK Gaming flag, to the independent DeeDee, finally settling at home with Quantic, this tournament has seen them through several organization changes.
After losing to EG decisively in the upper bracket, it looked like Quantic's days were numbered. Charging through Western Wolves and Absolute Legends, however, they found themselves facing EG for a second time and a chance at redemption. Between a strong draft and some risky in-game moves paying off, they came out with a 2-0 victory and a chance to play for the title. They have shown they have what it takes to compete with the big leagues, now is their time to show the world what they can bring against the best.
Na'Vi
Natus Vincere heads into yet another finals, this time looking to add 'Champions of The Defense' to their already illustrious list of titles. Another tournament that is theirs to lose, playing an ever-changing highly aggressive style they come in as clear favorites with nothing to prove to anyone. Plowing through The Defense in matches that often looked all-too-one-sided it is far from a surprise to see them playing in the finals.
With a combination of often off-beat play, a highly skilled team captain and drafter, and the hilariously ballsy poster-boy Dendi, Na'Vi certainly has tools available to them for a win. It doesn't hurt that they're also the hottest team around.
