You can't fire a player for playing swarm host and winning with it. It is like banning a tennis player from playing on the baseline, refusing to go on the net. The blame for boring swarm host games (from the view of the audience) does not lie with the players, but with the game designers. So, obviously, my take of this is that there are other obvious reasons behind this. Different level of mind games, eh?

The obvious reasons are more likely to be the fact he is by far the best player of his team and he'll probably moves for a better team, or at least, a better salary. it can be assumed that most respectable teams have in-house rules about showing good character and sportsmanship. what difference does it make whether he was showing their tag? the revelation that he was being an asshole on another account reflects poorly on the team and the team made a completely understandable business and personal decision

Uh, I think the obvious reasons are that he said he hopes Golden gets cancer, and there are screenshots of it near the top of Reddit. Doesn't have anything to do with his play. In fact, honestly I suspect Vega kinda likes that part. It works decently well, and it transformed him from a nobody into one of the most well-known non-Korean Zergs.

What a joke. he said "i hope you get cancer" to another player, that's not the same as saying "toss op" and ragequitting if i ran a team i wouldn't want to associate with anyone who acts like that and i wouldn't want anyone that hateful and childish to be representing my brand

It's not fucking with his life. And an easy solution would be not to be a little prick telling people they should die of cancer hoping to hide behind the anonymity of a barcode.

Even Ret who is supposed to be one of the nicest players admit that he bm's on smurf account, imagine what others do then.

It ammuses me that you're saying its ok to wish someone a cancer and tell his mom's ugly. bms like "ez race", "noob", "luck", "fuck you" are pretty ok if person is upset. But there are boundaries. Firecake definitely got overboard. I'm rager myself but I would never say such things he said. Even to my worst enemies irl.

Some people can't control their anger, this only fucks up the amateurs and not very sucessful players. People like Naniwa and IdrA can do as they please and no one would ever fire them.

I'm OK with them getting "fucked over" although in reality they are only doing it to themselves. Don't expect to be on a team if you cant' control your anger.

You get fired in the real world for not controlling your anger too. I don't see the problem. A bit of trash talk/BM is fine. Raging and making your team [sponsors] look bad shouldn't be tolerated.

But the main difference is probably that I'm old enough to take what I see on screen as what it is: pixels, and nothing else. And how come people name this "personal attack" when it's hidden behind a screen?
