4.1 European United Left–Nordic Green Left
With its 35 MEPs currently they are on the low side in number of members for the rights and support for European Parliamentary groups which dries out at 25 members.
European Union Left-Nordic Green Left is a group in the european parliament, consisting of primarily Die Linke in Germany and communists from other countries.
On many foreign policy issues they are against war and non-humanitarian interventions. An example is their resolution against “the imperialistic actions of USA, Israel and Saudi Arabia” in Egypt and calls for the military of Egypt to release control to the people.
On privacy, corruption and human rights issues they are actively fighting for more severe regulation and further increased transparency, as well as they are concerned about member-states not respecting the rules.
On digital issues they are strong supporters of internet freedom.
On economic issues they are fundamentally against austerity, against privatisation and liberalisation. They are focusing on increasing income through fighting corruption and tax havens as priorities on the income side, while calling for minimum wages and state-initiatives to foster growth.
Being on the left side of the traditional scale on most issues in EU doesn't make them EU positive. Several of the parties involved in the group are against the increase in cooperation and thereby movement of power from the member-states to EU.
