WOW! what can i say =\
my closest friends are fags.. just a few months ago they were making fun of people on WoW, wasting their lives and money and now?
well they are level 23 spending 10 hours a day on raids and runs... WOW!
what faggots, one of them is short and hes getting fat and hes starting to smell like urine..
heres a tip for you guys, dont play WoW... what happens after you become a level 70 epic with the best weapons?
*nothing*
but you can buy the new expansion coming out.. yay... do it all over again and win the prize of nothing once again =\

hmn reminds me of that south park episode where they slowly started turning into fat, pimply midgets. WoW is awesome, only in moderate game time though.

WoW is a waste of time... trust me :/
But I guess if you wanna have some fun too, buy it and play with them, its really fun if you play it with some real life friends.

One of the best South Park episode EVER.
Btw, I don't play WoW, but I tried the 14 day trial because I got it for free. It's a pretty fun game, but I don't have the motivation or patience to sit at my PC 10+ hours a day leveling up my character. I have friends who play WoW and they're not nerds at all. They work out 4-5 days a week, have girlfriends, a job, and a nice car. It's not hard to balance about real life and gaming to be honest it's all about timing. I never play games like WoW or Diablo 2 unless my friends are playing w/ me because there is no point in playing by yourself or playing w/ e-friends.

It depends how much you play WoW.
People play it for fun, and it does a good job of that (I used to play). You can say the exact same about SC or any other game. Are you accomplishing anything in the end? Absolutely not.
And like said above me, it is really fun to play with real life friends. Just don't let it become your life, it is possible to play it casually!

Haha jjun that's terrible
I still justify playing WoW because I'm leeching off my friend's account (and paying nothing ^^) and I need something to take my time before SC2 comes out

I said WoW sucks Then I spent like 500 hours on it. Now I can say it sucks from experience.

You know you don't have to play it all day.
They could just play it for a few hours and still remember to shower, what's the big deal.

Yep, the journey is the reward..
Not that I play.. MMORPG's are too time consuming for me personallly - and frankly ever since I started playing sc, any game that doesnt give me an adrenaline rush I drop rather quickly ^^
But I cant deny its a beautiful game that people play for the social aspect/artwork

Yeah playing starcraft and gaining rating on a ladder that resets a bit later is thoroughly productive and will aid you in life.

As Nony said, it's all in the journey. It must be a great game if such passion, be it love or hate, can arise from it.
It's a pretty decent way to spend the time, especially when you're with a couple of IRL friends. And TBH, I'd much rather play a cyclic game, where everyone gets a fresh chance every year or so, then some hardcore type MMO, where the pimply nerd that lives in the Twilight Zone will always be out of my league, simply because he lives in front of his PC.
Donno, the cycles I mentioned kinda give a sense of purpose to the whole thing. I've yet to discover it, but I'll keep searching

level 23 raids?...that can't be too fun...
if you have friends to play with on WoW...it's fun...if not...then it's shitty, just killing the same shit with different model/names is fucking boring as hell. being on skype/vent and joking around and running instances with friends is fun...it's like if it's a fucking heat wave outside, spend the time in doors and play wow with friends...if it's a nice warm day...GET THE FUCK OUT THERE plz
|
Oh man today was one hot day :O
Too bad I spent it all day inside studying -_-;;

23 is nothing. A "raid" (Raids are friggin non-existant until you reach 70) takes at max 1-2 hours in all the instances up to lvl 60.
I had a friend who was on a raiding-schedule from mon - friday and all I can say is he basically sat from 6 pm to 3 am on weekdays and that was not enough time some days.
Anyways, WoW is fun if played casually and with a lot of friends over Ventrilo. When you start raiding 9 hours a day only to find out you didn't get that awesome Tier5 part you wanted, and have to wait until next WEEK, then you're in trouble.
So you just wait until they're 70 and it'll become even worse.
