They've done it before, winning only the most important games, while looking like utter trash before. I just really hope that C9 and Vulcun will not have a bad day and miracilously lose against whoever emerges from the mediocrity that is the first round. It's true. On the other hand historically CLG always, always, always had a lot of hype behind them, or were perceived as the ones with "a lot of potential". Every single tournaments since I watch LoL this was the case. And actually almost every single time that I can remember since the S1 finals (which was pretty much the first tournament of LoL I watched, where CLG placed 5th) they choked when it mattered. Of course there are always exceptions, which would be that one IEM 2012 where they won and also IPL5 where they went pretty deep. Just sayin', historically I've learned not too expect too much from CLG hype, although I would be very delighted if they could live up to it this time, but I guess I'm more rooting for MonteCristo on this one. And on the other hand going into a tournament people always say TSM fell off, are boring, play the same stuff over and over again, it doesn't work anymore etc. and yet they seem to surprise me every time when I count them out.

Well, it's literally impossible for both C9 AND Vulcun to fail to make it to world's; even if they both lose their semifinals match, one of them still has to win the ensuing 3rd place head to head match between them.

No way to be exact here. Usually Riot is good with being on time in their studio, but external events almost always have some delays. I would expect delays here as well. It's impossible to get a good time table due to unforeseen issues coming up. I'm going by the schedule listed here: http://na.lolesports.com/season3/split2/articles/gamescom-and-pax-schedule-announcement and http://na.lolesports.com/season3/regionals2013/schedule

Lets hope on a quick 2 - 0 stomp.

TSM have NEVER lost a bo3/bo5 to an NA team with Dyrus. Their last defeat in a series to an NA team was IPL3 when Rainman and Chaox still played for TSM. The team they lost to that day? CLG. CLG's lineup -> Saintvicious, Hotshot, Bigfatlp, Chauster and Elementz. Edit: it appears that they lost to Epik (w/ Dyrus) at IPL3 before the loss to CLG

Edit: it appears that they lost to Epik (w/ Dyrus) at IPL3 before the loss to CLG They lost several bo3s offline actually, but never lost the match. The situations where they dropped bo3s was always with that famous pattern where CLG would come from the loser's bracket to the final while TSM went straight through the winner's bracket and thus could drop a bo3 and still win the match in the 2nd bo3.

CLG please. The time is now to realise the potential. Sad thing is even if they don't make worlds I won't care I just don't want them staring at relegation again Edit - it's also my birthday SURELY CLG WILL WIN NOW

C9 has had the best season of LCS yet, either in NA or EU, but I think Vulcun is gonna show up to this tournament more prepared. Vulcun has way more experience than C9 in any format that isn't bo1 and in my opinion Vulcun is more talented in every position except jungle and ADC. edit: Also, I vote Curse to get 3rd place and go to worlds. I'd love to see CLG do it but I know whoever gets 3rd seed for worlds isn't gonna get past group stage and I want to hope that maybe Curse will play Gambit somehow for that revenge Edward match.
