I'd say you are merely twisting my words which is usually a scummy trait. There's a difference between telling some one to avoid discussing the traitor and avoid discussing scumreads. A huge difference in fact.
As to the rest of your fluff reasons for voting me, I stated before this game even started that I would have nothing to do with the PM part of this game, not alignment indicative at all. If you don't like my aggressive style then I guess we'll just have to avoid each other because that's how I am going to be playing this game.

I thought you were talking to me for calling you my scumread and not talking about the traitor. When you said "There is barely anything to go off of yet" aren't you implying that there isn't enough information for anyone to have good reads yet so it's not worth discussing? You're criticizing oats here passively for trying to push reads out of people which is a lot townier than what you are doing.

Fair enough, I see how you could think that but it is incorrect. Simply shouting at people to post reads when only 5 people are posting so far is not townie in my opinion. All it does is let scum know what the town is thinking and makes it easier to manipulate the vote accordingly.
what town SHOULD be doing is elaborating later in the day on concrete reads that scum can't easily sheep. With a vote this early you are just setting up scum to come out of the woodworks and agree with you to push for my mislynch and that worries me.

@DrH I am confused as to why you pursue Vayne, who made a personal choice not to utilize PMs, but you fail to pursue slOosh, who is making a concerted effort to discourage people from utilizing PMs. This disconnect is indicative between a possible scum team between you two.

Hey teambuddy slo0sh, why don't you do this thing and then I'll attack somebody else for doing the same thing then we'll win for sure!
I didn't read his post.

Oh I found his post, yeah he's not saying no one should mason nor is he saying he is refusing to mason which is a really dumb thing to do. Now you're defending Vayne by using misdirection/misinterpretation! Interesting!
slo0sh - don't use mason if you don't know what you're doing. I disagree but there have been terrible consequences for this (coagulation claiming medic to me day 1 of Salem Mafia, me outing every single blue to the godfather in the same game, etc.)
slo0sh is in the SAME post talking about how PMs are invaluable for forming scumhunting circles which is a townie way of looking at it. A single sentence in a single post being a "concerted effort to discourage PMing" is really REALLY misrepresenting what sloOsh is saying in a completely obvious way.

kind of like how you are trying to misrepresent my posts. You one of those hypocrites when you play mafia? The most annoying kind of player.

Wow literally all I said is that you refuse to mason which is exactly what you said. how is that misrepresenting!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????????????? and how is that hypocritical? jesus.

I didn't read his post. I would prefer if you wouldn't waste posts to be sarcastic.
I would like to draw a bit of attention onto these two scumbags as well.

There are still plenty of people who haven't started talking yet, so I'm not going to speculate on their roles. Let's make sure we give everyone some consideration, especially the lurkers.

That is taking it to an extreme although I am not talking about that. I did say I would gladly talk to people that want to mason me, just that I won't be sending any outward masoning as I prefer to speak in the thread as opposed to privately. Nothing good has ever come out of it from what I've seen in PM games.
Our definitions of mason circle are very different. On one hand we have a guy who is going to be very easily trusting of people through PMs yet drops his vote within seconds of the game starting. You don't see how wearing your heart on your sleeve in PM play could fuck us as town?
You are pretty much hanging onto this notion of me refusing to use my masoning powers when I IMPLICITLY STATED BEFORE THE GAME STARTED that I hate using PMs. That is a horrible line of reasoning for town to have and I really hope you will reconsider, because looking through the town games you gave me it takes you a long time to formulate reads on people and vote, so the fact that you are voting me so quickly is alarming as fuck.

Let's address the points first. You say I'm defending Vayne. This is not true. I was pointing out the inconsistencies in your behavior. You accuse Vayne, but you aren't addressing a similar scum-tell in another player. This indicates that you are picking and choosing your targets, instead of actually scumhunting.
My point had nothing to do with the topic of PM's, I was addressing your behavior specifically and how you are specifically ignoring the slOosh while pursuing Vayne for reasons that should implicate both of them.
This post of yours is digging you into a deeper hole. You made a sarcastic post saying you never even read slOosh's post, but you come back and vehemently say he is a town read for you. If you never actually read slOosh's post, why do have such an aggressive, belligerent response to my question? As someone who had never read slOosh's post, you sure sound like you formed a very strong position on him.
I find this all too convenient. I think you lied about not having read his post. Am I correct?

##Vote: DocHelvetica
Every post he makes (and he's made a full 12 of his allotted 20 posts at the time of writing) makes me vomit inside my mouth a little bit. I don't like anything he's doing. He's not pressuring anyone, he's wasting posts throwing shit at Vayne. I don't even know yet what I think about Vayne, but if the remaining 40% of his posts don't blow me out of the water, I want to kill Doc H today.

DrH masoned me btw guys. Dont really think its alignment indicative that he didnt mention this.
VE wtf? Tell me how wasting posts arguing with Vayne is scummy? Have you played with Vayne before? Tell me how what he did isnt pressuring Vayne. tell me how scummy you are!
Thoughts on FT VE?

This game will be won or lost in PM's. Because of the post count limit, I definitely feel like it's going to be significantly more difficult to form solid reads on players, especially based on activity, which is generally how I parse through the game. On that note, I intended on masoning Hapa if he didn't me, as getting a read on him will be quite easy in PM land where I think he'd have a harder time keeping up the ruse of being interested in this game if he were mafia. I'll be sure to give my expert Hapa read to the thread once I feel confident about his alignment.
What I feel is going to be the most important thing to focus on in the thread aren't necessarily the content of people's posts, but rather, where, when and why they vote. Voting is going to be more important than content analysis this game because of the change in posting style that the post count limit forces people to make. In this line of reasoning, I'm immediately suspicious of VE for his vote post here:

Instead of attempting to interact with anyone, VE is content passing judgment from the sidelines about the interaction between DH and VA. This sort of voting in line with the sway of the thread (as both FT and VA were suspicious of DH) is a trait that I've seen mafia VE pull in games past. It's also worth noting that VE voting for DH for "throwing shit" at VA when VE has no opinion of VA is quite a ridiculous idea. This sort of bullshit reasoning is something that cannot be tolerated, and smells of mafia drumming up a reason to slap a vote on a player already under fire.
In my opinion, Dr H seems like the kind of player who would be getting into these types of arguments if he were town. I've only casually observed some of the games he has played in, but I can tell that he is naturally hot-headed and aggressive. So far, nothing in his posting has warranted any sort of suspicion. VE needs to better explain what, exactly, makes him so ready to lynch Dr H, because at the moment, he seems to be the better candidate for hanging.

I'm going to mason Oats right now. I do not argee that masoning two townreads of yours is necessarily the best possible action. Everyone should use their masons. That's retarded to not use them. As someone said, if you don't use your masons you are withholding information from town and you are shutting down a valuable channel for you to scumhunt and it doesn't even matter who you mason..
FT, VE and Sloosh to some extent look bad to me atm.
|
I'm on my phone so I can't copy paste but a couple posts up this page FirmTofu reponds the correct way to DrH and VE responds to wrong way.
Also yamato's last post was absolutely horrible.
I will probably use both my masons D1 on people who I feel are town.
I'm going to bed now.

But Ve and Yamato I dont think are both scum. Weird.
MZ, so is DrH scummy? FT's post is totally bullshit.

FT says he isnt defending Vayne but slams DrH for the exact same thing he himself is doing.??? He seems overly concerned about people lying. Scumtell because no one intentionally lies and its easier to attack town on a supposed lie and not actual content. Also, he is saying that vayne and sloosh are saying similar things. They arent by far. Sloosh is saying dont use it if you dont know how to. Vayne is saying he WONT use it. Nope, totally different. One is intentionally playing badly(vayne), One is possibly bad advice but with limited masoning, Im inclined to agree with sloosh.

I think there is something you should all know. I am a pardoner. I tried to think how i could use my power in combination with PM's to it's full benefit and came into conclusion there is no way not to claim will help town.
The pardoning can be done vai PM's to the hosts, i don't need to announce it in thread. There is nothing good coming out from me using it, only confusion and distraction, so i will not use my power ever.
This makes me think scum have one too.
|
I guess in theory everyone could mason me then we could like have really laborious conversations where I rely stuff from one person to another. I dunno, im kinda lazy.
Rayn, so if you are scum and you use your role, no one knows. Right. Sounds like your claim isnt actually a good thing.
